Ive been doing some research into this and came across this web site , http://www.nf6x.net/greenradio/tm11-230 ... 5/toc.html , that shows the manual for installing the radio sets on the M37,it shows TM 11-2300-352-15-5,I also have manuals TM 11-2300-352-15-3 and 2,all for installing different types of radio sets in the back of the truck, the mount changed around 1967 to the sugar scoop type, ive also attached a picture similar to one you posted and looks like the correct position to me,the manuals are a bit scetchy as to where it goes axcactly, but you will have to position the mount around where the cable comes out of the side of the truck through the knock out hole,to be able to fit it to the MX-6707 antenna matching unit.
I hope this helps and im sure others will have there input as well.
You would be better of for reception on that radio going with the AB-15 and the MS-116, 117 and 118 antenna sections. I know the sugar scoop has a cool factor, but that antenna is designed for VHF Low and your receiver is Short Wave and AM band so the other antenna will work better. Believe me I know from experience. Plus the AB15 has it's own cool factor too.
Of course if you already have the newer antenna and mounts etc then as Emily use to say.......Well that's different then...never mind....
Thanks for the input guys. Hoodwink, great link. Thanks.
Joe, I already have the sugar scoop set up which was a gift from a friend. So I can get a radio to match my antenna set up down the road put the R174 in my den. You need to come down some weekend and visit. We are having the Collings Corsair at MAPS July 4th weekend.

OH I can recommend the Collins Foundation. Don't miss a chance to see their planes. They were here in AZ in April.
Anyway since we are talking radios. I have the AB15 Antenna and mount. What I would like to know is what is the proper radio to go with it and where might I get one working or not ? My idea is to put it in the truck and add a CD player with radio chatter.
