Proper tube for NDT tires

Post by MSeriesRebuild »

I've been asked several times recently about tubes for NDT tires. It seems several have had problems getting tubes with the correct brass valve stems. The tube size is 9.00X16 with a TR177A valve. Any local truck tire dealer should be able to get these for you.

Correct 900-16 tubes

Universal Vintage Tire also has them, www.universaltire.com
They are getting harder to find and the local truck shops may not have the correct stem or an offset rubber stem.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

This is why I posted this with the correct valve number. The problem isn't that they are hard to get, it's the fact that dealers don't understand what type of valve they need to get. Many dealers don't even know the 9.00X16 tube is available with more than 1 type of stem. This confirmation that it's a TR177A valve that is needed should make it a simple matter for them to order.
