Re: New to site

Welcome! As far as the assignment history on your truck usually you are held by what you find under the paint on the front bumper and rear bumperettes. This only applies if the previous owner(s) merely covered over it. If they took it down to metal and primed + painted then you are out of luck. The ...

Re: WTB Artic Blanket Kit

Good luck with that! The grill covers can be had but I have never seen, in person (or even an actual picture) of the fitted 3 piece hood/side covers that are depicted on the Powerplant Heater Kit installation instructions. Early kits used a wc or jeep hood blanket which is what was tossed in my kit.

Re: Does the M37 share the same pioneer tools with the WC's...?

I don't have the numbers handy but jeep shovels were shorter than wc/m37s 34 1/2"ish. Another issue is the shovel head shape. Everywhere I see m37 shovels advertised a closer look reveals a modern pointy shovel like those used on a humvee. The "drop point" shape has evolved over the y...

Re: Leaking antifreeze

After your mating surfaces are flat (hose connections as well) use Form-a-Gasket Type 3 Aviation from Permatex. The brown tacky stuff that gets on everything. It's readily available.

Re: HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY !!

Happy isn't the term for today. The size limitations prevent any pictures from today's observation of General Order 11. We had 20+ vehicles from MB's to Hemtt's. Even a Gamma Goat. "Happy" in the sense that I am happy and, of course, forever thankful, to still have the freedoms and privil...

Re: MasterPro GL 4 Gear Oil

Todays crappiest lubes are way better than those of the 50s & 60s. Regardless of which brand you get it will be better than what was originally available (and worked).
Yes. Leaking is the new problem.

Re: Passenger Seat Back Mounting Tabs

See pics. A bracket connects the seat back frame to the cab. The 2 lower threaded holes on the vertical strengthening channels are where it attaches. Max, on a different subject where did you get that wall-sized wiring diagram?? I love it! I could use one of those as well as a blown-up lube order ch...

I always use the permatex form a gasket type 3 aviation (the brown stuff that gets on everything ).
Probably overkill but I have never had it fail.

Register it with the frame # located on the left outside frame rail by the steering box.
The command kit was just an add on after production.

Re: Window channel adjustments

I replaced the felt channels in mine and made sure the frame screws were flush and smooth. Sprayed silicone lube liberally (soaked) and they run up and down great.
