Re: Battery cable
OK I'm going to give this a shot, 1, after leaving the battery box and passing thru the cab floor. It heads forward, one clamp about five or six inches from the hole it came from and then another clamp about a foot away from the first one, Then it goes over the rear motor mount and up over the bell ...

Re: Sparks under dash
Being that I work with electrical items every day,I see way too much exposed copper in your pics. I would pick up some heat shrink tubing to correct the issues you have there. Yes, disconnect your battery( or batteries ) to prevent arcing and shorting.

Re: Bending door hinges; source for pins
I had a similar issue. To remove the pin I got a long punch and drove the door pin out. Bending, I just clamped it in a vise and gave it a hit with a large hammer.Try it on the truck and if that didn't work remove it and hit it again. All I could do was guess at the angle I needed.I don't think you'...

Re: HELP !
Neither pump works, re-tried the old pump and nothing. Has plenty of fuel. Try pushing air back to the fuel tank, ( before dong this remove any fuel filters )if something is stuck in the line that may help, then if you could reverse the air flow and pressure the tank to the fuel pump with the pump d...

There's a site on Steel Soldiers that will give you a history of your truck. I can't recall the heading, but it's not hard to find.

That's a tall order. The best thing is to go to the TMs for wiring. Look at TM 9-2320-212-20 pg 2-17

Pretty much ditto what Brett said. To dry it I used a air hose then a heat gun. That got it good and dry.

Re: need correct paint color for 1954 m37
Want to see what the color of you truck was, remove the black out drive light. That rubber gasket, if not removed by a previous owner will uncover paint that hasn't seen light since just before the delivery date. My M37 A 51 is painted with 24087. http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g389/majorhitt/1...
