Re: ROLL CALL-WHERE IS EVERYONE?

Still here, still not finished, in my defense, I had total knee replacement the day after Christmas, the doc passed out, they closed me up! Opened me up again on the 27th, all went well for a minute, the 15th or so of January I was diagnosed with mursa, so 6 weeks of infusion antibiotics three time...

Re: ROLL CALL-WHERE IS EVERYONE?

Here now and again. Buried with my Carryall project. Hoping to get it in shape to do the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route this summer. Pretty much an off-road trip from Oregon, across Washington to the Canadian border. Camping and stuff. Fingers crossed. @ashyers - Lets hear the story on the g...

Re: Who sells these?

John does, I got mine from him. The NAPA ones don't quite fit right and tended to leak.

I'm thinking its pretty much straight up from the crank center. At least that's how mine looked.

Re: whistling when warmed up

What Nam Vet said. There is a vacuum line running from your fuel/vacuum booster pump to the rear intake port. It runs through exactly where you say you hear the vacuum leak. above the manifold next to the head.

Re: Service Brakes not retracting (left front)

I'm actually thinking about heating and bending the stick in my Carryall so I have more room for my leg. I figure I could move it to the right by about 6 to 8 inches. Its not like anyone ever sits in the middle seat with all the stuff coming out of the floor. The M37 is worse. I literally can not dr...

Re: Service Brakes not retracting (left front)

My older brother had a 911sc. He loved it, I couldn't drive it. There was no way I could fit in it steer and shift. First gear put the shift knob at about my kneecap. That's kneecap from under my leg.

Re: Service Brakes not retracting (left front)

Well that explains it. As per typical with me.. I was wondering about the wimpy pump in the brake bleeding kit. So I WAY over vacuumed it using the vacuum pump from my old boat company. 29+ in hg.

Not a happy camper that day.

Live and learn. :)

Re: Service Brakes not retracting (left front)

I tried a vacuum bleeder and it was a complete disaster. I think there was a tiny leak somewhere in a brake line and the vacuum pulled air into the enture system. Turned all my brake fluid to milk. I guess if everything is perfectly sealed it should work fine. But the smallest leak and your just hos...

Re: Repacking front wheel bearings?

I was just asking because a friend of mine owns a CNC shop. He could set it up, let it run overnight and have a ton of them by the morning. I always thought it would be fun to do something like that. It would be even more fun if I could actually sell them..

Re: Beechwood Canvas Works new set of M37 seat covers

Flashbacks..

To this day if I smell burning trash, I sleep like a baby. This is from sailing down the coast of Mexico and knowing.. If you can smell the trash burning, its an off-shore wind tonight. You can relax about being blown off your anchor and onto the surf.

Re: Beechwood Canvas Works new set of M37 seat covers

I've not been in the military but I still love the smell of canvas. Reminds me of camping, camp fires & the mountains. Wife grew up at a summer camp, so she's fine with it as well. I had no idea that there were people that hated the smell.

Re: AIR HORN KIT...

One of the local kids in town got his hands on a airhorn set from a locomotive. He installed it in his unassuming little car, somehow. That thing would make you jump out of your own skin when it went off!
