Re: Maybe this isn't Technical, but......
Hi Bob, I guess in the 50s we were worried about the Russians flooding across the Bering Straits so we had M37s with the add on fender heaters. From whay I have seen, it is an easy thing to put a heater under the glove box, but it really eats up the foot room for your passenger. I like my fender hea...

Re: Did M37 Have Turn Signals???
I believe it is supposed to mount to the left side of the glove box. (on the outside of the box). That is where I put mine.

Re: Holes in rear crossmember, what for?
Thanks Rick and MM, that makes sense. So I guess the trailer chains do go to the rear shackles then?

Holes in rear crossmember, what for?
I was walking past the back end of my truck the other day, and noticed 4 holes in the rear crossmember. There are 2 on each side of the pintle, between the bumperettes and the pintle, one over the other. I have looked through the photo albums but see other trucks with the same empty holes. Are they ...

Re: M43 for sale in Vermont
Hi Ed, I know I can get rid of the parts, just was hoping it would all head out at once! My latest 4 Power Wagon finds one from near Cobleskill NY, referred by a friend, the other 3 from Troy in Eden, you sold him an M37 tranny. Wasnt looking for them, just happened across his ad looking for a car f...

Hi Bert,
I would love to see it head to a new home. M-43s just dont seem to be very popular.

No interest at all, maybe time to make big parts into little parts.

Another clue it is a fire, all the insulation is off the wires, oh wait, that happens even without a fire!
Sure is a shame though.

M43 for sale in Vermont
I have a 52? M43 for sale. Reasonably complete, reasonably good condition. Would be a great candidate for a repower, as the engine is in the back in a million pieces. Or put another 230 in it. Located near Burlington Vermont. Vt. bill of sale only, Vt does not title older vehicles. Has a lot of the ...

Re: Who has put in a roll bar?
Thanks for posting the link to Wills pictures. That is sort of what I have in mind, but would probably go with round stock. I have seen his truck and he has done an awesome job with it.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Who has put in a roll bar?
Hi Jeff, Thanks for the invite, tempting though it is. I had a full day planned for today, and then found out about 3 Power Wagons for sale up in Eden, and had to go up there and buy them! I burned up half of my day doing that, and so tomorrow has to be spent catching up for todays unplanned yet ver...
