Re: RIP Kevin Kronlund Spooner Wis MVPG
Yes it is. It is a very great loss to the MV community here in Wisconsin and abroad. His contributions to the hobby are immeasurable. He was a very honest and opened hearted lover of WWII MV's and he supported them in so many different ways. A very close friend and he will be forever remembered.

Here's two of Tim's pics. Tim the board quota references the ability to load a photo straight from your computer to the message board. This is because the photo is then stored by the message board. You can still link any photo loaded on another web site or page by using the function with the photo's...

Re: Erratic Temp gauge
Sometimes enough air gets trapped in the system to keep the coolant away from a certain area. When you refill the coolant it is a good idea to burp the system usually at the heater hose connection on the head. If not heater hoses then crack the temp sender loose until you get a flow of coolant.

Re: Erratic Temp gauge
Now you are confusing me. You said in the beginning the gauge needle did not rise and now you say that it rises to 120???? If the needle was dead in the engine and alive in the pot on the stove then the engine is the fault. If the gauge was only rising to 120 while plowing snow for 45 minutes then t...

Re: Erratic Temp gauge
If the gauge reads 0 in the engine and works on the stove in the pot of water then your issue is in the engine. When you pulled the probe out did coolant run out?

Re: Crud in cooling system after rebuild...
I'm going by the shop on my way to work this morning and discuss the problems with the owner, I don't have anyone here to help me load it or I'd take it with me. That's the best starting point. It just may be he just fired the mechanic that worked your block and he just might jump at the opportunit...

Re: 24 Volts to 12 Volts How is this done ??
Of course if you left something turned on then both batteries will dead.
Upgrades are alternators, pointless ignition, modern headlamp bulbs (with replacement elements), LED tail and marker lamps, addition of battery disconnects and etc.

Re: Canadian built or not.
The reason I ask is because a friend on the Early CJ5 board is trying to find an answer to this question: Anyone have Fafnir deep groove ball bearing numbers for a T98 ? Maindrive gear (input shaft) bearing = MRC # 308SG1 = Fafnir # ????? > These are .7874 wide plus snap ring groove. Mainshaft gear ...

Are you guys rebuilding T98's in the shop or sending them out?

Re: Canadian built or not.
I agree. The US Army went the right way with the M715 tranny in 66. I don't recall the name of the Canadian Company that provided the "License built" T98's for the M37CDN's but they listed their own model name for the T98 they were building.

Re: Canadian built or not.
They also have a different transmission, a Warner T-98, a much heavier transmission than the New Process units used in the US models. Why they never used these in the US trucks is a mystery to me. I believe it was because of the tight business relationship between Chrysler and NP. Chrysler owned NP...

Re: 24 Volts to 12 Volts How is this done ??
If I get stuck and need a jump start what do I do ? Even though often a jump with 12 volts can get you going it is unfair to the good samaritan to expose him to the risk of damage to his electrical system. You simply need to get two 12 volt batteries from someone and place them together in series w...

Don't leave the Michigan plates on the truck during Scott's visit if you have been a Wisconsin resident longer than a year!
