I pulled the eng/trans without pulling the fenders, was not bad at all. #6 connecting rod bearing was the culprit. When I pulled the piston I found a broken ring, so I pulled all the pistons, the res...

GENERATOR/VOLTAGE REG
GOOD MORNING, I removed and replaced my gen/voltage reg with a single wire delco. I thought the gen/voltage had gone bad as it was not charging. Upon removal I saw that the wires from the rear plug of the voltage reg had broken. The gen/voltage reg were working fine and I never had a problem until t...

Re: NOT CHANRING
GOOD MORNING, I got my single wire delco installed yesterday. She lined up pretty good using the existing lower gen mounts; a threaded rod thru both mounts, shaved a bit off the alternator case, and shaved a little off the adjusting bracket and got volts!!! Dontknow what to do about the alt pulley. ...

NOT CHANRING
I was able to put a multi meter to my M and determined that the gen/voltage reg is not putting out. 24.85 volts eng/ign off. 23.63 volts eng running at about 1200-1500 rpm's. If I remember correctly, from my younger days, the voltage reg has points under the cover, they used to stick. My question: s...

Re: M37 Bikini top
I had my toneau cover made by a local (BROOKLYN, NY) marine canvas guy. He had to patten the cockpit then sew up the cover. Its made from sunbrella; works great. I would be willing to send it out, this winter, so it could be copied. if anyones interested. I had it made a couple of years ago and I th...

GENERATOR/VOLTAGE REG
GOOD MORNING,
I took the M for a ride yesterday and noticed that the volt meter was not showing a charge. i did not have time to open the hood and do a visual. What should I be looking for other than a loose connection?? How do I trouble shoot the gen/voltage reg??
THANKS
