That's great you were able to find history still left on your truck! Welcome here, your in a amazing group of guys that between them all know everything ...

Midwest Military is perfect for parts also. Join your local MVPA chapter, it could help you if they have good members.

Re: deciding on numbers for my M 42
Gary, I know what you mean. Id like for people to have a correct idea of how markings go or if you want to tribute a unit to get it right but its the people that jump all over you that's funny. Perfect example, my M416 has the tail lights mounted upside down, I know that but that's exactly the way i...

Re: Cranky-Cranky, No-Sparky, No Starty
Sounds like the coil went out , you can buy a NOS USGI one for a lot of money or buy a chrome Taiwan knock off for a lot less. I chose to get a NOS one from the 60's. Clean that distributer out very well also

Re: deciding on numbers for my M 42
Hal , I used my unit markings of the best unit I was in , that I went to war with, on my M37. The original unit of my M37 was lost to time as the person I bought it from put some USCG and number and the other side said 54 M37 along with made up hood numbers. I got rid of that quick and put one of my...

Re: Leaking Oil Pan Gasket Replaced.
Its the ones from Midwest, the cork front and rear are ok , I trimmed them a tiny bit , so that's probably going to be an issue also , but it was the pass side gasket or of the other material I think I torqued down a bit too hard and tore it . What page or manual is the oil pan gasket explained or d...

Re: Leaking Oil Pan Gasket Replaced.
Just did mine today , gonna let it sit for a day or so , add oil and see if it worked.
I think I crushed one gasket on pass side though.... I bet it leaks.
