Re: HELP !
Yup, everythings tight. Nothing clogged. All I did was R&R the pump. Ran fine before. Going outside in a bit and put old pump back on.

HELP !
Just changed my fuel pump to a new one from Midwest. I'm getting no fuel to carb at all, zilch !!! What could it be ? Don't think it's a bad pump. Also, my new one has a lever on the front, doesn't move too much, maybe quarter turn.

Re: Heater Plug in Head
SUCCESS !!! Finally got that head plug out. Had to remove carb and last two plugs to give me some working room. Tried it all again, PB blaster, heat, candle wax and more heat. the vise grip/dead blow didn't work. grips would pop off every time I hit it. Pipe wrench would't grip well either. Just put...

Re: Heater Plug in Head
Yup, enough coolant is drained off to be below head level. Gonna try again this afternoon after running chores.

Re: Heater Plug in Head
That's where I'm at now. Can't really get a swing with dead blow on vise grips, no room. Getting pretty disgusted but not giving up. Today I'll remove the carb and last 2 plugs. That should give me room to use dead blow with vise grips or the pipe wrench way. Here's a question. I'm using a propane t...

Re: Heater Plug in Head
I'll give a try after my hand heals up. Just went out and tried vise grips, really tightly clamped and can't budge it. Vise grips eventually slipped and skinned my wrist. Not that bad but having another drink. Thanks for all the support guys !!!

Re: Heater Plug in Head
Thanks Gary, but it's too late for that now. Just came back from Sears and they don't have any 8 pt. sockets. Bought a set of impact "damaged bolt remover" sockets. All that did was to completely round the square head off. Really don't know what to do next. I'm having a drink.

Re: Heater Plug in Head
Hey, I'll try anything at this point. Like I said, the main problem is getting some sort of socket on that square head.

Re: Heater Plug in Head
Yeah, already tried PB blaster over night. I think what I need is a 4 point socket, even a 8 point. The corners are getting a little rounded off. I have a 8 point socket set but of course It's missing the proper size.

Heater Plug in Head
Thought hooking up the heater in my truck would be a no brainer. However, for the life of me I cannot get that pipe plug out of the back of the head. Tried open end wrench, a crowfoot on a breaker bar and even a pipe wrench. Even tried heating the plug with my torch. Still won't budge. I could use a...

Re: Hooking Up Heater
Guess I can regulate the heat by just turning a switch on and off. I shouldn't over think these things. Thanks.
