Re: Largest Diameter tires on stock M37?

Correct, Stockton rims with Budd centers. Outer shell is still 6.5 I believe. However the 11.00 X 16 is a little fatter and with a shallow center drop off set out about 1/4" to 1/2" so sidewall of Michelins are about 1/2" outside the plane of the rear fender.

Re: Time to sell my 1954 M37

I made the lens covers by milling out the center and gluing a yellow lens in.

Re: Speed Question

I have 4.89 gears and 38" tires with a Hercules diesel. Unloaded on flat ground I still start in second. During a parade I put the M37 in first gear normal range and can walk faster than it will idle down a flat road. The diesel gives me plenty of low end grunt.

Re: Speed Question

4.89 gears, 38" tires and a diesel engine. Talk to Charles Talbert at M-series. With mine the top of the power curve is about 50 but I can push it to 62 with the diesel. I wouldn't do this unless I had balanced tires and 4 wheel disk brakes and tight steering. I normally cruise around 45- 50 on...

Time to sell my 1954 M37

Well it saddens me to say this but I have decided to sell my 1954 green M37. With a rebuilt 1962 M37B1 I finally decided I will never get around to finishing the green one. To many projects and to much going on in my life. The 1954 comes with a NC title, has been sand blasted to bare steel and frame...

Re: Cowl hood lace

Before installing the lace find some color matching GE II silicone sealant and work all into the fibers of the welting. Remove excess and hang up until cured. Then install. The welting will last much longer.

By the way Brigand I find it is hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs… because they always take things literally. What is your experience?

Yes that is the point you have to look carefully to see it is a 0 not an O. Subtle jokes that make me think and then ROFL are ones I like best. SO in that vein how about . . . .

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
