Re: Times are Changing.....

Sad to hear you've sold a lifetime project, like mine. I wish I have more time to participate in this forum like I did in the past. Though we've never met, I think I know you for years. Family first thing MM, no bike, truck or radio equipment can change that. Hope your Dad do Well. Keep the M Flame ...

Re: Anybody Read Spanish?

Nice, I would like to know the suspension setup up front, I see coil springs.
I think I'm going that way in the future.

Re: STA NDT vs STA Super Lugs vs Yokahama Geolanders

Modern radial tires are light years ahead of any old design tire.
I've switched to BF Goodrichs 315/75 16 (swaped wheels too) from Power King Supertractions and the ride and handling improved a lot.

Re: DIESEL Swaptions

Spicer 3053A is a pretty stout 5 speed OD tranny that you can easily bolt to a 4BT engine. I guess it's readily available since It's from the m35 deuce and half that seems to appear for sale everywhere in the States. Charles T. here has done many conversions that way (4bt/3053A) I've used them when ...

Re: NP200 Question

I'm using straight axles and flanges on the rear diff in my M37. No biggie. I've first used oem front axle flanges but the cast iron is soft and the axles wore the splines on the flanges. Next I had a set of oem flanges heat treated and those are still holding on. (I keep another set under my seat, ...

Great seats!!
I've been looking at them for a while, they are mine/ied blast protection, (read heavy) so shipping to Argentina would be expensive indeed. That kept me away.

Re: How much $$$ you got in YOUR truck?!!

$13K was the grand total till 2010 with the truck price, the 6.2 diesel/3053A repower kit, the Disc brake kit, power brake/steering, the freight from U.S., import duties, paint, D60 and D70 axles and every nut and bolt taken into account. (got a book that would make a bean counter to a shame) After ...

Re: Best M37 Restoration in the World!

I beg to differ, I think Bill Wincapaw's M-37 restoration was a lot better than the one posted here.
Not only in the colors, but also in the rightness of the whole process.

Re: Tire Question

I've used them until I wore them out. Good tires, but after moving on to Bf Goodrich all terrains I've discovered they sucked. No comparison with modern radial tires.
The ride, the handling, the wear is a LOT better with the goodrichs.

Re: Most Practical Modification Thread

Local maker, sorry.
Shipping from USA is a killer for the wheels so I had them made by a local mom & pop (actually grandpa, pop & son) wheel shop, they cut the budd centers from the wheels and then welded the new rims.
