Re: Rest in Peace B-17G 44-83575 "909"
Hey Gary, Yes it is an over reaction by some to see these birds grounded. What next then, our M37's or model T's if there is a crash? I was on the fence after this tragedy since I was close to the Collings group. As a fellow on another forum summed it up best: " Vintage aircraft are actually re...

Rest in Peace B-17G 44-83575 "909"
We in the vintage aviation community are deeply saddened by yesterdays loss of the Collings Foundation's B-17G "909" in a tragic accident in Windsor Locks. CT. I have heard various reports of loss of life from 5 to seven. Reports are ongoing. I had the honor of working on and flying in thi...

Looks like a great time out there. Thanks for sharing the pics.
I love getting my truck out and getting it dirty now that is a 10 year old restoration and no longer a "trailer queen" . They are really in their element offroad

Hey There K8icu,
Good to hear from you. I never really thought about B1 vs. A1? Your explanation sounds good to me. How is your truck coming along?

Re: M37 clutch linkage arm
That's the way to go. I have my spherical rod ends abut have not got around fabricating the linkage yet. Too many home fix up projects getting in the way of quality truck time

Re: M37 clutch linkage arm
One of the weak links. Give all the grease zerks on the pedal shaft and elsewhere you would think these linkages and arms would have been a little more beefy for the MV application? It is the same link on a DeSoto  They are easy to build back up with braze. I try to keep mine cleaned lubed ever...

Re: 280 miles, 7+ hours, 95 degrees
Sounds like an awesome trip. About 75 miles one way has been my furthest jaunt in NC or Ohio. Glad all went well. My rig does more sitting than driving nowadays but still starts right up like day one. Hope to give it some TLC and get out in the woods this month. Been busy re-doing and screening in o...

Re: Where can I get Hercules engin parts
What is left of Hercules Engine is in Massillon, Oh and that is most likely who you spoke with. You may try to retrofit a gauge/sender combo from Stewart Warner or the like.

Re: Slow, Old and Green
Welcome aboard Robyn. Thanks for sharing the pics and the great video. I am surprised you did not yank the rear end out of the Ford with that rolling take off :D I too experienced a driveshaft failure last year backing into my spot at a show while 40 people were watching  . Ends up there was a...
