Re: Fuel Gauge Sender

Looking for some ideas.....trying to replace my fuel gauge sender and all the screws are spinning. I tried the old pry underneath trick and no go, they are all still in place. I don't want to cut the heads off (sparks and gas fumes don't mix!) as I think if there is a nut on the bottom it and the s...

Bert Bert, my LED amber bulb doesnt have any part numbers or manufacturers details on it. Presumably a Chinese import. I have searched through my email but cant fi...

Re: Bumperettes mounted-PTO next...

Thanks Bert, Amber glass-got 'em from Memphis Equipment via eBay for $25 for the pair (entire assembly)-a pittance of what they go for now. Gary Are these for a later model M37 or another Mil truck? I need to start watching for some of these. Bert Another option is to leave the clear glass and go w...

Re: Winter Storage Tips?

Does anyone have a good winter or long-term storage routine? Thank you in advance! Back story: This 1951 M37 has been restored, runs well, and is in great condition. We live in Maine so it will be stored inside over the winter for 6 months. I want to ensure that the truck "rests easy" unt...

Re: Signal Stat 600

That switch you have pictured is the military version of the 900 series. Unless it had been altered, there would be 7-wires coming from it. I altered it by taking it apart and identified the wires/connections that were necessary for it to work in my application. I only required 4 of the 7 connectio...

Re: Signal Stat 600

I have wired the switch to a modern 24v LED friendly electronic flasher unit and wired all the flasher lamps myself. I didnt see the point in using the transistorised box. We have slighly different rules over here about flashing lamps so I cannot have the brake lights flashing at the same time etc....

Re: TUNE-UP

I used my normal 12v timing light but re-wired it, extending the cable by about 10feet.
The sensor is place over HT cable no.1 where I have cut through all the braiding just enough to fit the clamp on.
