Re: M37 Bed Question
Bob I need to clarify my terminology.what I called the bed is actually a box assembly and I apologize for that. Bruce is correct in the fact the original bed/floor of the box was a two piece welded bolt in part. I just sold a bed/floor reproduction that I bought from Vintage Power Wagon and it was a...

Re: M37 Bed Question
Bob The M37 bed is a bolt together unit and if the bolts aren't rusty it is a fairly simple job, and it makes replacement of parts quick and easy verses being welded together, it's sort of a erector set. That being said there is the problem of the bed shifting and bolt holes sometimes are more diffic...

Re: exhaust manifold
Vinny what can be done as far as repairing the manifolds is by relieving the cracks by grinding the area to accept a weld, then bolt it up to a old engine block or make fixture for holding the manifold in place. once it is secured then the manifold will need to be heated to a cherry red color at the ...

Re: Yes it can be done!
Good looking job!, I just want to warn you about installing the turbo on a 6.2 engine as the 6.5 has lower compression. In 1996 I worked at a Chevy dealer and we had a customer that installed a new 6.2 and a turbo from the newer at that time 6.5 that engine and two more only ran for just over 100 mi...

Re: Title a vehicle in TN with only a bill of sale?
Phillip I have in the past made those things happen but the states are all changing there policies. I would go down to the local DMV and ask what would be needed, they may have you apply for a abandoned title, but Tennessee might have different laws so it will be hard to say. I would not get into the ...
Re: Shop Vise
Finding a quality vise for a reasonable price is all in being at the right place at the right time. I was lucky enough to dismantle a old car dealership years back and ended up with a couple of older Wilton 6" vises and several others that have no names but nice to have around,I also have found...

Re: Fender alignment
You might try and loosen all of the bolts that are holding the grill together then with a jack raise the left front corner and re tighten the bolts. There is enough clearance in the bolt holes that you might gain a little this way! After that paint it drive it and forget about it.Driving down the ro...

Re: Crud in cooling system after rebuild...
I totally agreed with Cuz's statement about contacting the vendor as you have done, Now that you have given them this chance to make things right there would be other questions to ask while the engine is there, was the transfer tube even checked? was the rest of the machine work properly done?. Clear...

Re: Tasteful automotive furniture
I was just at the recent Barrett Jackson auction and there was a collection of bomb fins made into a table, barbecue and a stand up cooler . they were all about four foot in length and really looked good and would be great patio furniture.
