New idea. I will use the factory lines to the factory fuel filter location. They do not leak, yet. Since I do not need it, I will remove the filter and install the regulator there. Is there any reason I should not run a flexible line across the top of the engine to the carb. This way I would not hav...

Thanks for the advice Charles. Given that my electric fuel pump is on the left side of the hollow frame cross member, where is a good place for the pressure regulator to be mounted. If it is not in the engine bay, is next to the fuel pump a good spot? I was hoping to avoid a bunch of junctions in th...

So I ended up buying 25' of Goodyear fuel injection hose. That stuff is pricey! I ran it from my electric fuel pump, through the hollow frame cross member, through four small holes in some frame brackets and then followed the speedometer cable into the engine compartment. The fuel pressure regulator...

fuel line routing
I am replacing my fuel lines, which are a hodge podge mess of old steel armored lines, hose clamps and rubber fuel hose with a few leaks. I have an electric fuel pump and fuel filter just in front of the tank and will be eliminating the original fuel filter. I am looking to run 5/16 flexible fuel in...

Replacing air filter. Question about the distributor lines
I have a few questions. I am thinking of putting a K&N cone filter on my ETW1 carb. I would make a flanged tube to bolt up to the carb and the filter would go on the end. I could easily run the vent lines from the oil filler, gas tank and master cylinder into the flanged tube. What about the dis...

Cuz and Master Yota, thanks for the replies. They have got me thinking of using the mechanical pump also. I do not know why it was bypassed or if it is still good. I am cleaning up the fuel lines as they are a frankenstein mess of rubber and steel pieces with a lot of hose clamps involved, and the f...

I bought my truck with the electric fuel pump and the pressure regulator already installed. I replaced the pressure regulator and wanted to be sure the pump was appropriate. I never really gave any consideration to using the mechanical pump and just kind of assumed the electric ones were superior. I...

what electric fuel pump and pressure regulator
Hi. This is my first posting here though reading other people's questions has helped me out a few times. I have been having flooding problems, to the point that my plugs are fouled and the truck won't run. I have sent my distributor and carb to M Series Rebuild for work to eliminate any problems the...
