We run Yokohama Geolander M/T radials, LT315-75R16 on the original rims. Fit great, many of our customers are running them on their rebuilt trucks. Balance & ride MUCH better than a bias ply.

Thanks Larry, Would you happen to have any contact info for Mr. Asbury? I saw the bottom halve of the air cleaner on epay going for like $25.00 bucks (no lid). I was willing to pay $35.00 for that lid on epay but I'll make one before I'll pay $75.00 for it. Your lucky day,I have a battery box lid,y...

Re: I'm perplexed

What confuses me is that it all fit together when I took it apart, and as I put it all back together (without removing the worm gear) in the same order, it doesn't fit. I'll double check everything in the gear box, since in rebuilding I've taken out the "slop" of the movement. Just tappin...

Re: LU-4 rebuild HELP!

I'm at my wit's end. (For the grammarians out there, yes, I only have one wit right now.) I am trying to put the 2 rectangular keys on the main shaft to hold in the drum assembly. When I have the spacer in the correct place (between the drum & the keys), the keys are 1/8' too big - too much to ...

Re: Gauge Problems

I have a '54 M37 with a dump bed which I had been using to haul "garden fertilizer" for several days. Last week I had a fuel starvation issue which turned out to be a very dirty fuel tank. I pulled the tank, had it boiled out at a radiator shop, and reinstalled in truck. Nothing else was ...

The PTO can be installed without removing the transmission, but it is extremely tight quarters to do so. The worst part of it is that it must be properly shimmed to achieve correct drive gear backlash adjustments. That may well cause you to have to install & remove it several times before gettin...

John at Mid West has nice tailgates in all respects. Jeep Panels Plus has functional tailgates, however if correctness in the stamping of the gate, etc. matters to you, then you need to look elsewhere as theirs leaves a lot to be desired in that area.

Re: Fire in Canyon Country

Hey Guys, For those that don't know, I live in Canyon Country, CA. the 10,000 acre fire has surrounded my house on three sides. It has come as close as 800 yards. I sent the wife and daughter to a friends house. My stepson and I have stayed to keep the landscaping wet. The fire dept and forest serv...
