Re: Help with vehicle ignition problem
checked and relaced everything now it is not firing or starting, (no fire to plugs) any suggestions? Ran poorly before you changed parts now no run. You did not list which parts you changed but you can bet it does not fire because of something you did. You'll have to back track thru each thing you ...

Re: Did M37 Have Turn Signals???
The kit illustrated above was introduced in the 70's and was often retrofitted to both M37 and m37B1. The mil kit introduced in the 60's and included on the M37B1 was the relay type kit using a firewall mounted relay box and a Signal Stat early 900 series switch on the column. The later Signal Stat ...

During my 22 years in the USAF I never saw a blue canvas top on a M35 series, 5 Ton series, M37, M38, M38A1, M170 or M715. All with canvas on top were OD. Not all USAF trucks were Blue. Rapid deployment units often left their trucks OD and even in Vietnam there was a healthy mix of Blue and OD USAF ...

Have you ohmed out both the primary and secondary side of the coil both cold and hot? Or have you computed or measured the current draw of the coil?

Re: Brakes on M-37
The Army converted everything they owned to DOT5 silicon in the 60/70's. All they had to do was flush the DOT3 with alcohol and load the DOT-5. As I said above it's a bit tougher to convert back to DOT-3 or -4. There's nothing in an M37 brake system that ever needed DOT-5. Someone in Congress had a ...

Re: Brakes on M-37
While talking about the steel brake lines there are two points that should be brought up. 1-Which brake fluid do you intend to use? DOT3/4 or DOT5 (silicon). The military used the DOT 5 silicon. You can flush out all traces of DOT3 or 4 but you can never completely flush out all traces of DOT5 silic...

Re: M37 What is it?
Fair Radio should have pricing info for you. That's a very old late WWII Armor setup so you may want to reconsider a more appropriate to the 50's thru 70's radio setup. The VRQ-1 thru -3, the VRC-8 thru -10 are very appropriate to the M37's duty time periods. https://www.fairradio.com/catalog.php?mo...

The Dynamotor mounts to that plate. The Dynamotor flange has four sliding latches that slip around the grooves at the base of the pins. The reference above was for late WWII 1/4 T jeeps. For water fording operations. The line would have went to the air cleaner which gets a snorkel installed for deep water fording and this keeps the water out of the master cylinder.

I am simply pointing out the obvious problems dealing with a state or federal regulating agency and offering less emotional and more productive alternatives to apply ...

Josh, All I can say is that the bottom line is our legal system. You can hollar as loud as you want but when the hollaring is done it's time to either address the core problem or move on. I already posted my better idea above. When we stand to loose a lot of money, time or effort in a project becaus...

Re: Letter to the Governor
Josh, I posted a lengthy explanation of the issues in your letter from the state last night and the post has vanished. So I'll give a quicky abbreviated version here. but I fail to understand how a truck built 12 years prior to those initial standards can be held to them There is very little change ...
