Yes it is. It is a very great loss to the MV community here in Wisconsin and abroad. His contributions to the hobby are immeasurable. He was a very honest and opened hearted lover of WWII MV's and he supported them in so many different ways. A very close friend and he will be forever remembered.

Sometimes enough air gets trapped in the system to keep the coolant away from a certain area. When you refill the coolant it is a good idea to burp the system usually at the heater hose connection on the head. If not heater hoses then crack the temp sender loose until you get a flow of coolant.

If the gauge reads 0 in the engine and works on the stove in the pot of water then your issue is in the engine. When you pulled the probe out did coolant run out?

I agree. The US Army went the right way with the M715 tranny in 66. I don't recall the name of the Canadian Company that provided the "License built" T98's for the M37CDN's but they listed their own model name for the T98 they were building.

They also have a different transmission, a Warner T-98, a much heavier transmission than the New Process units used in the US models. Why they never used these in the US trucks is a mystery to me.
