Those look ok in a pinch, Carter, but the write-ups in Ahl's restoration guide are more detailed for the carb and governor info.

Has anybody checked with Fred at Adirondack Dodge, or George at Vermont Commerical Salvage for a lead?

Thanks again for the replies-this is the first trouble I've had since I replaced the carb. I don't feel the fuel pump nor the carb were faulty, especially since I got the rebuilt carb from John Bizal at Midwest and it really is a gem of a carb, as described by knattrass, and I back John to the hilt ...

Thanks Folks!
I've considered returning to the mechanical pump but I've read and herd so many horror stories over the diaphram leaking fuel into the crankcase oil that I'm more secure with the electric pump.

Saved by the Governor....

This weekend's plans called for installing the cab top supports I got from XM708. Well, the M started and moved but wouldn't start again when I needed to reposition it and I smelled fuel so I thought I might have flooded it. Anyway, pulled the oil bath-fuel in the elbow-not good; drained the elbow t...

Looks like someone beat you to it, Rich. Peter E perhaps? Anyway, they get relisted every now and then so it pays to search M37 on e-Bay daily-you never know what you might find. I also checked this morning and the seller is militarymedia. I couldn't find any other details.

Hey Rich,
Someone on E-Bay has the M37 manuals on CD "cheap", much cheaper than to buy the hard copies, as long as you have Adobe on your PC. I have the CD and it's very comprehensive. The only M37 manual it does not include (to my knowledge) is TM9-8030.

Nothing to fear-this forum is a great source of info for all things M37. Many of us that currently own an M37 started exactly where you are: unsure of where to begin, how to work with a flat-head engine, what to fix first, etc. Check some of our historical forum posts to determine what's best for yo...

I see I'm not the only one who passed on this cushion. Not a bad price but I'd like the real thing if one becomes available.

NSN stands for National Stock Number. Every possible piece of military-related material has an NSN. I don't have my e-manuals handy so I can't tell you what the NSN is for an M37.
