Re: Question about rims/tires - M37

Another option would be to keep your rims and go to 11x16 Michelins(taller) or Cooper Discover ST 255 85 r16(a little shorter)dia. than the ND's. A word of caution on the tubless rims is they are rare, and if you have the disc brake conversion they will need 3/8 more spacing than the kit allows. The b...

Re: crimp tool

Hi Wes
I have used that exact same crimping tool for many years. It works great, but you have to get a feel for how tight is too tight to squeeze it or you can crush the wires.

Re: Sap removal

I tried the alcohol today, slow process on each spot.As the sap started to dissolve, you could actually smell the pine!A lot of patience and moderate circular motion with a alcohol wet paper towel got the job done on the front fender ,now for the hood. The WD-40 did nothing.I'll try mineral spirits ne...

Re: Sap removal

I think you are right.I might try warming a spot with a hair dryer, then the WD-40.What do you think?

Sap removal

Morning All,
I picked a '53 M37 Sunday that had been under pine trees for about 6yrs.Does anyone have any ideas on dissolving old dried up sap without destroying the paint on the hood and fenders?
Thanks

Re: Tire help

Morning ,
I found another possibility today.Anyone ever run Laramie Trailcutter R/T 255 85 r16s?
Maybe Charles can comment on the Geolanders that he uses. Some reviews say they wear funny and fast. They are the correct height though.
I appreciate all your comments

Re: Tire help

Master Yota,
I have checked the internet for both Dick Cepeck and B F Goodrich in 305 85 R16 and cannot find anything taller than a 75 series,am I missing something?
Thanks

Re: Tire help

Sorry, my fingers and my brain were out of sinc,I meant 16x6.5in wide. The rim is a tubless replacement for the 2piece stock M37 rim.

Tire help

Hi All, I'm new to the group, and need some advice.I just got 5 of Jimbob1111's 16 x16.5 tubless rims. Now I need to speck out some radial tires, must be 34in tall, and a quiet all terrain type tread. The truck doesn't do anything more than dirt roads and will never see snow. One option is a 255 85 r16 C...
