Re: CCKW Oval Window Top Insulation/Liner
I have a CCKW top that came off of my truck, it has what I believe to be the original liner in it... You know those army surplus sleeping pads, the ones at go underneath a sleeping bag? The lining feels and looks just like that. Appears to be foam, and glued. I will be going by my parents later toda...

If you've got nasty dark fluid, then yes!ZGjethro wrote:If you do that on anything but a fresh fill won't you be re-introducing nasty, dark fluid back into your system instead of discarding it?

Re: Rim Question
The tire shop told me: 1: ALWAYS use an air fitting which locks onto the valve stem, so you're not close to the tire 2: ALWAYS use chains (as shown) or a cage and 3: Air the tire up to 25-30 pounds, deflate, then air up fully...this allows you to check if the lock ring is seating correctly. This bei...

Re: Brake bleeding woes
I did mine manually, it took awhile. Here is a trick from an ex-army mechanic who I talked to. Because the MC reservoir is so small, run oxygen tubing from the wheel cylinder bleeder to the MC. You wont have trouble with your MC going dry and binding up with air...he said that they used to do it all...

There actually WAS an M-37 up on GSA Auctions in the last week or two...went for big bucks.
The pictures were taken at night, but you could tell what it was.

Re: Tire Question
Power King Super Tractions? Love them. Have used them both on and off road on two power wagons previously, now have them on my M-37. Track well, clean themselves well...would like to try them in the snow. I was told by my tire place that if there tubes are very old, they can form to the tire, and b...

Gear Shift Knob
Does anybody here know what the threads on the top of the gear shift are? I'm hoping 3/8 16.
I was thinking about getting a hurst t-handle shifter to throw on, saw another guy who did it, thought it was a cool touch!

Re: Replacing seat covers
Well timing is everything-I was just posting my front clip pictures and saw this post so I headed to the garage and snapped this one-mine has a single stud (top of photo), and the latch in front. Gary Thanks! I have that little latch...it just presses into the bottom on the seat cushion then? I wil...

Let us know the how's & why's of your spotlight make-up, do you have the correct drawings? I actually got the CAD drawing with all of the measurements off this board at one point...Going to bring it to a local welding shop which I've done business with in the past, along with a bunch of picture...

Re: Rear bed holes
^^ Spot on.
My truck for instance...had holes to mount TWO separate radio antenna mounts. I had the holes for the fording stack as well.
If you're missing the brackets at the front which are supposed to hold the bows for storage with a canvas strap, that accounts for a few more

I got 4 people, each one grabbed a corner and we lifted it right off! Fairly easy to maneuver with people, not too heavy.
