I received a NOS Budd rim with the locking bead in a trade. I have never seen one and just wondered how rare of a find it is. It is not out of the box pristine but has some wear/dings from being handled. Still has new paint and yellow letting on it.
Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Sticky steering wheel?
Just to clarify... when warmed by the sun and the moisture was gone.. there was no sticky anything. When it was not sticky was when I filled the cracks and painted.

Re: Sticky steering wheel?
Mine did this and it seemed to be associated with the moisture in the air. I did as some others suggested and filled the cracks in mine with epoxy and after sanding the epoxy smooth, I lightly sanded the rest of the wheel and painted with a rattle can, gloss black. I haven't had any issues since. Mark

Re: Hub/Spindle Nuts
PoW, Thanks for the feedback but do you have any idea if they are the same size? I realize today some nuts are spline and such but octagon shaped can be about anything... about any size. I just wondered if they were the same. I don't know enough about Civie Powerwagons to know if the hubs are the sa...

Hub/Spindle Nuts
Can someone tell me if the civilian power wagon has the same spindle/hub nuts as the M37? Just looking to source something local instead of having to order and have shipped.
Thanks for any info or part number.

Re: Outer Hub Nut Backed off?
Hi Gary, Yes its pretty obvious I didn't do my part on getting it tight to begin with. I didn't have the socket when I originally installed it about ten years ago. I have to take responsibility for that. I am lucky that the lock ring somehow kept the inner nut in place. There was no play in the hub ...

Outer Hub Nut Backed off?
I am installing disc brakes on my rear axle. Passenger side complete with no issues, last night I disassembled the drivers side and when I removed the drive axle and pulled the outer grease seal off in a gloppy mess... It was obvious that gear oil had gotten into the hub. Grease was semi fluid but p...

Re: CCKW Oval Window Top Insulation/Liner
I wasn't able to find anything like that material so I went to a local automotive upholstery shop and the guy said.... sure I can do it. Will cost 275.00. I didn't pay but 50 bucks for the top, I did put a layer of mat fiberglass inside after grinding out the rust. I thought the fiberglass would hel...

CCKW Oval Window Top Insulation/Liner
Does anyone have a picture of how the CCKW top inside liner fit? I'm trying to figure out the best way to put something in it and would like for it to at least resemble the original liner. I'm just not sure where to put seams or how many pieces it should be pieced in to make it fit right. I have loo...
