Re: Join us for a burger in Yakima.
After a few changes and upgrades, I'd like to do more of this. It would be nice to incorporate camping as well. Maybe not the dead of winter though. Something a little more relaxing would be nice. Possibly dirt roads? I put a bunch of the pictures together with captions on my Carryall Blog page. Pre...

Re: Well my M37 is here!
I'd move your fuel line outside and away from the manifold. You are just asking for vapor lock having it routed in there like that. Typically, where your fuel line is currently routed, is where they route the vacuum boost line from your fuel pump to your windshield wipers. But yeah, they are fun mac...

I'd try it like it is for awhile first. See for yourself why it was designed as it was. Then, when you know what are actual issues as opposed to theoretical ones, change what you need to change. You will probably be surprised how different the fears are from reality.

Re: Join us for a burger in Yakima.
She has more fun on the trips than I do. I enjoy the truck bit, but it stresses me out waiting for something to fail. I was extra stressed on this trip 'cause I resurrected this truck from a dead barn find just last May-June. Up until the trip, our Max radius was maybe 20 miles before something woul...

Re: Carburetor Rebuild Question
I've resolved my fuel leaking problem...MSeriesRebuild was correct...the two halves were not flat. After surfacing them, and replacing the paper gasket with a Viton Flouroelastomer gasket...no leaks. I do have a question after my "pump up leak test" (no leaks): How does the accelerator pu...

Re: Join us for a burger in Yakima.
Tow bar? Sheesh guys! The entire adventure is to see if the truck will make it on its own.
Well, I guess a chase vehicle and tow bar might come in handy if the truck doesn't quite make it on its own..

Join us for a burger in Yakima.
As some of you probably know, Julie & I do what we call "Burger Patrols". A Burger Patrol is basically where you locate a burger joint somewhere on the map and see if you can make it there, in your old truck, to have a burger. Julie has fun taking pictures and posting it on Facebook. I...

Re: engine dies after 3 min
So I'm dyin' to know, how did the story end? Was the fuel system plugged up? Did the pump actually fail? Did they get married in the end?

Re: Service Brakes not retracting (left front)
When the rubber lines fail they act JUST like check valves. Ran into this on my carryall. All the lines were old/bad and they all did exactly that.
