Re: DIESEL Swaptions

http://www.allpar.com/mopar/transmissions/NV4500.html There is definitely more then 1 way to skin a cat when it comes to swaps, the way I went was easiest/most sensible for my knowledge level. I used mostly dodge 2500 diesel 5 speed parts which is something I have done a lot of work with in the past...

Re: DIESEL Swaptions

Vpw sells lower ratio r&p for about $550 per axle. I'm not sure who would make an adapter plate for a 4BT to a stock trans. Another consideration is being able to get a flywheel bolted up to the crank on the cummins. Most 5 speeds have PTO covers on them, the NV4500's have a decent amount of hyd...

Re: DIESEL Swaptions

I believe the 230 runs around 3200+ rpm. Most mechanical diesels run around 2800 tops unless modified. I'd imagine your going to run something mechanical for ease of install but expect the truck to be slower then stock unless you decide to swap transmissions. If so, the best bet would be to sell all...

Simple using BB Code, Just copy and paste. Step 1: go to your registry page and copy the link in the add...

Re: Leaky Fuel pump diaphragm

I ran a facet 24 volt, it's a 2"x2"cube. Currently sitting on my shop floor. No longer needed. 4-5 psi did the job well.

Re: Leaky Fuel pump diaphragm

Stay away from any nos seals. Any rubber that has been sitting on a shelf for 20-65 years is no good. I can't understand why they still sell them. Google Now and then automotive, they have new production rebuild kits for our factory fuel pumps.
