Re: M37B3 Project
@John Mc Yeah they have been doing the Armed Forces Day gig at the Hancock County Fair grounds since I think the late 80s or early 90s. I attended the first one they had in the town square with about 10 other vehicles and then I went for the next like 10 years. Then life got in the way and well... I...

Re: M37B3 Project
Just a quick update note. The rolling frame and front sheet metal including cab went to the sandblasters last week Oct. 25th to be blasted and primed. With the weather going south here in Ohio quickly I didn't want bare metal waiting around all winter till it got warm enough to paint so I'm having t...

Re: Gun Ring on M37
The answer to your question is yes if you have the skills and the money to do so. First the ring mount with all the parts to hook it to a WC are expensive and then you will have to modify it to work on the M37. Remember WCs did not have doors and M37s do so I think that would be the biggest hump to ...

Re: Read my spark plug, give me your thoughts
I foresee a dark mysterious stranger coming into your life. Give him food and water but nothing else.
Isn't that what you said you wanted? Read my spark plug isn't that like read the bumps on my head?
Actually I agree with what has already been stated. Looks good. Drive the truck and enjoy.

Re: Cab waterproof cover
I wonder if the bow kit for the M35s would work in the M37? Basically it was three 1/4 inch or 5/16 rod that had a arch like the ones pictured and they had a 90 degree bend at the windshield to pop down into holes that were drilled into the windshield and where they attached to the back bow did the ...

Re: Cab waterproof cover
That's a smart cover you designed there. I'm just wondering why you didn't get a complete cover for the truck to protect the whole truck from the sun, rain, wind, etc. I know you worked very hard on restoring the truck and I figure that if you had indoor storage for the truck it would be in there so...

Re: Brake Lines
The problem I'm having with the spring armor on the brake lines is when I pulled my truck apart the coils around the tube were packed with mud and dirt and the lines were rotted out under all that muck. That's why I'm thinking there has to be something better for "off road" use that won't ...

Re: M37B3 Project
I remember when you made the deal for this truck. It was about the same time I got my truck and was finishing up on restoring my A2. Anyway, do you know whatever happen to your A-1? The folks that got it seem to have dropped out of sight shortly after getting it. No my beloved m151a1 has disappeare...

Brake Lines
Hello all, The M37 had "armored" brake lines which were basically the steel line with a a steel wire wrapped around the tubing. I know that some of the vendors are reproducing these lines for those who are doing restorations which is great. My question is this....is there a modern brake li...

Re: Mystery button on dash
SLK did you find what the button goes to? I had another thought in that did the truck have a siren on it. That might have been a momentary contact switch to activate a siren. Just a thought.

Re: Mystery button on dash
Yep not original. Maybe a prior owner put it there just to make you ask questions. Or maybe it's the speed button. You know push it and hold it down as the truck jumps into warp drive...lol! I agree with Tom and Gary said either a replacement for the horn or a way of skipping the starter button. As ...

Re: Opinions, too much?
GIs did stuff like that a lot during the 60 especially in country places like Vietnam. If they could get away with something they would. So put it on the truck, mark it with a unit markings from in country like 101AB or 1INF and tell the haters that it came that way from south east Asia.

Re: M37B3 Project
Here is an update on some things I've gotten done. I made a down pipe and rejected it. I moved the front shock mounts and made new ones in order to make a better down pipe and exhaust system. Made a mockup exhaust out of wood. Then made the new down pipe and exhaust. Also did some repair work on the...
