Re: Dual Rear Wheels and a Dump Body...nice!
You're right, Bob; I didn't see the extra pictures. Those rear wheels are tucked way under the bed. Looking at some of the other pictures it looks like he had special wheels made, too. The centered pumpkin is something that looks odd to me also. I haven't seen very many of them on trucks around here...

Re: Registration Numbers for M101 & M101A1 Trailers
So far yours is the only reply. These low cost utility trailers seem to almost be disposable items; they just don't seem to be tracked like the more expensive, "capital equipment" type items like trucks.
I'll post anything I find out.

Re: Dual Rear Wheels and a Dump Body...nice!
I don't think those rear fenders fit over those dual wheels / tires. I would really like to see a picture of that truck with the bed down.
The dumping bed looks sweet though!
It needs a winch on the front.

Registration Numbers for M101 & M101A1 Trailers
Does anyone know how the military registration numbers were derived for the M101 & M101A1 Trailers? There is lots of information about registration numbers for the trucks, but I'm not able to find documentation on how the registration numbers were formulated and assigned to the trailers. ...

Re: Got oil changed, seized engine :(
So, what happened? Sounds like you garage forgot to put oil in it or did they leave the oil pan plug out?

Thanks, guys!
I quit paying much attention to automotive improvements when the stopped using carburetors and started adding circuit boards.

Are these the military waterproof plugs? Could you maybe post a picture of one of the plugs?

Andy,
Have you talked to RMS yet about dual carb set-ups for these motors? He has some data and a nice collection of parts.
It might be worth your time to look him up.
Just a suggestion.

Re: We Need A Diagnostics Post/Link
I will certainly second Bob's motion for a Diagnostic Section. It is more specific than either a "Builders' Blog" which seems to be more modification & hot-rodding or Technical Forum which tends to be theory & minutia. A Diagnostic Forum would / could be more specific and real worl...

Re: WTB Complete Fording Group
At this stage in the life of these trucks, you are probably going to have to put the kit together piece by piece. You may get lucky and find a complete kit, but don't hold your breath waiting for one. :D It is really not that hard, however. There are only 3 pieces that require fabrication (the intak...
