Re: Oil Cooler
My 53 runs "warm" all the time. Always wanted to change out the water distribution tube but have been concerned with the removal. No problem with removing radiator and front of engine components but still concerned about pulling out a 61 year old rusted tube intact. Don't want to start thi...

M-37 RC Build
Got sent a great clip of a guy building a M-37 remote control car. Sorry, don't know how to forward the link but just go on Powernation TV and click on M37 RC build.

Re: Fuel Tank Pickup Unit
I agree with that last statement. It just cost me $350 to cut open my stock tank, have it coated inside and out and have small leak repaired. Add to this about $275 for parts from Midwest ( New pickup w/filter. new sender, rubber gaskets and new fill hoses). Well at least it's still stock and gauge ...

Re: I have a canvas top delima as well (truck too tall)
I had a similar problem but not as extreme. I raised the tracks on the overhead door, removed the stop moulding on the frame. Still no fit. The truck seemed very high in the rear so I removed 3 leaves from the spring pack. It's still higher in the rear but about 2 inches lower. Still no go but close...

Re: Parking Brake Drum
Thanks Jess. Finally got that nut off. Didn't have enough strength to do it with the breaker bar and impact wrench wouldn't budge it either. Finally cranked up my compressor past the limit of 135# and it came off just as my hose at the compressor burst ! Hey, its off and the hose can be fixed. Thank...

Re: Parking Brake Drum
Okie, I'll give it another try in the AM, thanks. Btw, mine has no driveshaft yoke on the drum. There is a separate driveshaft output shaft. Saw a pix of a driveshaft yoke off the parking drum. Can anyone out there if there is a difference in model years of M-37s ?

Parking Brake Drum
I have to replace the oil seal on the back of the transfer case behind the parking brake drum. Any ideas of how to remove the drum? Removed cotter pin but even an impact wrench won't budge the nut. Do I have to remove the four bolts around that large nut first. And even if I get the drum off is the ...

M-37 Canvas Roof
I got some little tears on my top after rubbing against my garage door. I decided to purchase a new top and it looks great. I have the old top for sale. Really not in bad shape. The tears are along the top in the bow area, easily repairable. There is one small professionally repair done on top side....

Re: power steering M37
Get the whole kit. It includes the "L" bracket tab that must be welded to top of frame. If you can't weld I'm sure you can arrange for a friend to do it. The angle is a no brainer. All you have to do is enlarge an already existing frame hole. Temporarily bolt mount to frame with bolt, incl...

Re: power steering M37
I installed the Snake River kit a few months ago. Works GREAT. Steering box was a rebuilt later model Dodge unit and the pump a rebuilt Ford unit. Did have to drive it awhile and keep topping off pump. Other then that, nice clean install.

Canvas Top Brackets
Just installed my new canvas top for my cab. Looks great, from Beachwood Canvas. The old metal clips, two per side that fit into the seam of the canvas and then into the roof supports were pop riveted to the seam of the canvas. Just to get a measurement to rivet I slid them into the seams. They actu...
