Re: New member - 1952 M37
for interest, as I use a dashcam in my road cars, I stuck one of my spare ones in the M37 - aukey dash dr02. The footage from the bonnet was produced with it. The dashcam is 12v but I ran it from a portable battery pack - will make it so much easier to explain how I have a small hatchback attached t...

Re: New member - 1952 M37
a 3 point turn is more of a 7 point turn and my shoulders ache afterwards - essentially don't set yourself up to have to make a super tight turn.ashyers wrote:Ben,
Fun video. I liked the crew in the van waving at you. How do you like the M37's turning radius on those narrow streets .

Re: New member - 1952 M37
With the new tierods and freehubs it steers lovely, driving through that village was also fine, the video does make it look more intense than it was :D - not sure if you saw that as I enter the village a car pulled out on me hence my quick left and then right action. The speed also wasn't any higher...

Re: New member - 1952 M37
Truck is back home, very nice to drive with the freehubs and feel alot safer with indicators. Next jobs are to repaint a number of areas since repairing rust - struggling to source correct 24087 semi gloss paint here in the UK - sending off samples of current paint work to get some mixes. Jobs compl...

Re: New member - 1952 M37
A little update for my truck. I decided to talk it to a military vehicle specialist for a complete end to end check Full fluid service and safety check - in UK vehicles of this age don't have what we call an MOT yearly. So essentially wanted to know that it is safe to drive Removed, fixed and replac...

Re: New member - 1952 M37
Two videos of my M37 running Initially when I received it it wouldn't idle, simple fix - the choke cable wasn't seated correctly and thus choke was open all the time. Additionally the oil pressure gauge wasn't working. I checked connections at both ends, cleaned and reconnected. Now Oil Pressure gau...

Re: New member - 1952 M37
Look forward to sharing my progress and I am sure I will have tons of questions. As to bringing one back to the UK, I would suggest it is a very sound investment and it is really no bigger than a Range Rover. Ok, our parking spaces are quite small but you can buy removeable remote parking cameras - ...
