Re: Rust Bustin' with Apple Cider Vinegar
I have used Evapo-Rust with good results and now have found it's cheaper and equally effective twin, "Espirit" (from RustDepot.com). Cheaper too!

Re: Drivers "bottom" springs section
Those bottom seat springs are scarce as hens teeth. You may want to reach out to Beachwood Canvas or New Life Canvas and see if they make a foam replacement for the bottom springs. Good luck!

Brigand,
You are spot on! I like your writing style. Not sure of your occupation, but if not an author now, you missed your calling.

Re: data plates on m37
I found a seller on Ebay that makes the inspection stamps for US military rifles. His seller name is bardall1. He has several types, and has the crossed cannons and the eagle with three stars, the two inspection stamps I have seen most frequently on M37 data plates. I ordered one from him and just r...

Re: what is the proper way to break in a new engine
One thing I do know is that you should use break-in oil specifically designed for such use. I think it has a higher level of zinc in it to protect the cam lobes etc. Charles Talbert of M Series Rebuild would be a great source to consult on such matters.

Re: horn keeps honking
I had the same issue. The horn is energized when the circuit is completed by the pressing the horn button in the center of the steering wheel. This grounds the circuit and completes it. So my issue was with the horn button mechanism inside the center portion of the steering wheel. Once I corrected t...

Re: Engine Hand Crank
I have to second Bob's comment about keeping your thumbs in when cranking using the hand crank. I learned to drive in my dad's 1952 MG-TD complete with hand-crank. Learned to handcrank the car and did it many times. You'll be VERY sorry you didn't keep your thumbs tucked into your palms when pulling...

Re: Seat cover questions
My suggestion would be to call Mona, the owner of New Life Canvas, at (218) 564-4814. She'll be able to fix you up!

M37 Drivers Side Bottom Seat Springs
I am looking for a good set of bottom driver's seat cushion springs for my M37. Just learned the lesson of "if it's not broke, don't fix it!" For the heck of it, I decided to take the seat apart to look at the condition, and discovered that a mouse nest (and the resulting by-products of mi...
