Re: Crashed M37 pics from the '60's

Here is the scene of the crash, before getting the tow. Hopefully this one works better. Post worked much better. Right clicked the picture instead of copying from the address bar. Thanks!!! http://g741.org/photogallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=12792&g2_serialNumber=1

Crashed M37 pics from the '60's

Thought you might be interested in seeing these. My dad was stationed in germany in the 60's as a wrecker driver. There was an M37 wreck that ,if I recall, was due to a little too much german beer. My dad was neither driving nor the passenger, though. Sounds like germany was a fun place at that time...

Hood Numbers

Any links to info I can find from hood numbers? I haven't had a chance to sand down the bumper yet but did sand the hood and found 2443725. I searched past threads and found some info on bumper markings but wasn't able to find anything on the hood.

It looks neat except I think I would like it better if the bed wasn't cut down and had a soft-top. I've been toying with making mine into a crew cab usin...

Re: Cylinder sleeves

I'm not a machinist but I would think that pressing it in the block you'll have some distortion along the ID of the bore. You'll have to machine the sleeve to make sure it is round.

Question on tubes

No experience with tube tires, except bikes. Can any tires be installed with tubes? I'm looking at a set of 16" BFG's. Would these work on M37 rims with the correct tube size?

Re: Trying to adapt 318 again

When I did my 318 swap I mounted the radiator in front of the existing radiator location. I believe the radiator was out of a newer dodge truck but don't recall for certain. By moving the radiator forward you could move the engine forward which gave clearance at the firewall for the distributor. I u...
