Are there amber 24V bulbs available for the front marker lights or am I better off changing the lenses to amber?

My truck is 24 volt. The electrical system is unmolested except for the horn wiring. Everything else on the truck functions as it was intended.

I tried grounding and it made no difference. This was actually my first thought since the tank had been R & R.

I would like to narrow down the problem prior to buying parts.
Is there a way to test the sending unit with an ohm meter? What kind of values would I look for?

I just purchased this truck 3 weeks ago and I'm in the process of learning what makes it tick. This truck is a blast to drive. The truck has had a new fuel tank put in by the previous owner. Whenever I put an electric fuel pump on a carburated gas vehicle I would add a regulator so that I could dial down to about 5 PSI and not overwhelm the float.
