Don't waste time adapting a 4 speed tranny to a 4BT engine that tops at 2800rpm. Get yourself an OD tranny that bolts up to the 4BT and be happy.
I would go with a ZF 5S42 from a ford diesel or a Spicer 3053A from the deuce

We are in complete shut down since 3/19 till 4/1 at least. Interesting experience. I'm customs officer, bulk and liquid cargo surveyor, so I have to work in the port to warrant the fuel supply in our city. We 've been instructed to take 24 hour 1 person shifts to minimize the people going to and bac...

Re: Good Morning!
You bet,
I was in dire need for those days off.
Every year, when vacation time comes I feel I got there crawling. I'm geting old, I think.
The plan for 2020 is to get the m37 back together and take it on next vacation.

Re: Dana 60 Axle swap
And you can drive the centered rear axle from the e-brake output of the transfer case. A lot less noise and temperature in the t-case when you drive in 4x2.
I did it long ago and the noise difference was amazing.

Re: Heat Riser and hot re-starts
It's been years since I don't have a carb in my M37. (20 now that I think of it) but I remember that when the engine was hot, I just have to kick the throttle twice before starting and then it cranked half turn and it was purring like a flathead kitten. Man I feel old now. This post made me think of...

Re: Auxiliary Connector on dash, where to find its mate?
If I remember right it's the same connector as the distributor 24v feed.
I may be wrong, it's been almost 20 years since my truck has gone distributorless...
