Only one question, What kind of grease lube did you use in your front hubs? Cause in the picture of the front hubs, it looks like regular lithium grease to me not high temp. Maybe there is red high temp grease in USA and if so, it's my mistake. Down here, the high temp bearing grease is more like ta...

I have an ESAB smashweld 250 (250 amps) 380v triphase. It's awesome although you have to be very carefull to weld thin metal. I don't know if it's because it's big or my lack of welding skills, probably the latter. :P

Depending on the engine, and it's RPM range, you will need to swap transmission (for an OD unit), axle gears and/or tire size.

Re: Committed

Well, guys...it looks like I'm committed to making the move from IL go GA. (My wife thinks I should be "committed" to somewhere else, but that's a different story.) Anyhow, my M37 is now loaded up on a truck and on its way to my daughter's house in Lavonia, GA. I'd post a pic, but I still...

Offroad, I've found that it is more capable than my stock truck. I tend to run most trails just above idle and use the torque to walk me over obstacles... The truck is infinitely more usable with the repower. It all comes down to how you plan to use it, what skills you have (or purchase), and the d...

Interesting answers! Juan, since you log so many miles with your vehicle, did you compile a list of all the engineers that could conceivably work? Do you remember what your other top choices were before you made your final selection? I did this conversion in '97. I needed a Diesel because gas was a...

I'm surprised that no one mentioned a small block Chevy V-8. That's the most cost effective engine swap if you are going to a gas v8, it's the cheapest conversion. I'm a diesel guy when it comes to trucks, and I agree with Charles on this point, except I've chosen a GM 6.2L diesel for my conversion...

Total of four - all have cotter pins/double nuts. One is at the driver's feet - its the shortest, has no spring, and a big cup washer that acts as a spacer. The other driver's side bolt is under the seat near the rear. The passenger side has pretty much the same location. Make a note of the pin loc...

Juan How did you hook up the hydroboost unit? Did you use the original pedal from the M37? Or did you use the whole pedal asembly from the CUCV? I have a hydro boost setup from the P30 chassis that my 4BT was in. I'm using the original pedal from the M37, I put the hydraboost unit in the place of t...

Good to hear that MM, I thought he may have problems with the language but you being from a Commonwealth nation rules that out. :) I know the kind of people we have here in G741, but luckily I didn't have the need to bother anybody with favours. I've traded a little with Bill W. a couple of times, a...

He has moderated his auctions speech lately, I guess somebody has complained to Ebay about it so he toned it down, it was plain offensive. I remember somebody, member of this forum, asking him if the bracket was included in the auction of a WWII jeep fire extinguisher and his answer was something li...

Hey Cabell, isn't this your truck?

Navigating throug Ebay, always watching for that last bit to score, I found this guy selling a heater, and I think he is using a picture of the heater installed in your truck. Am I wright? The datcon gauges makes me think of your truck. Hope he pays some royalties to you, especially since this guy i...

Will your economy stand another war effort?
Got a lot of friends and family living in the States, and they only talk about how dark they see the future and how their income has been reduced by the raising costs of everything.
