Re: stalling out--help needed
Well gents, I think I finally fixed it. Put a new fuel pump on this morning and it has not stalled out all day. I would say that was the culprit. Thanks everyone for all of the advice.

Re: stalling out--help needed
Sal, I thought it might have flooded earlier because it quits and then won't restart until it rests for a half hour or so. Also thoughts it might be vapor lock, but I am thinking I was wrong on that original diagnosis after working on it some more. Now, I am leaning toward more of a fuel starvation ...

Re: stalling out--help needed
Testing spark after the stall. Still have spark then.
Have not driven out of my yard because I am afraid of being stranded. So it is stall after idling and/or short drives around my 2 acres.

Re: stalling out--help needed
Ok. Spent the whole day chasing this issue. Checked for spark. Definitely have spark at the plugs. Replaced the fuel filter. Drained the fuel tank completely and refilled with fresh premium fuel. Still stalling out after about 5 minutes. Looks like there is not much fuel in the filter? So, should I ...

Re: stalling out--help needed
Bob, thanks for the suggestions. Seems to have spark so not electrical. When she does she sputters once, like a skip and then shuts right down. Tried the gas cap truck tonight, trying to run with it open, but it quit after about 5 minutes again. Vapor lock somehow? Clogged fuel line or vent line? No...

Re: stalling out--help needed
Changed the coil. She started right up after. But 5 minutes later she stalled out again. Checked for fuel and it is getting fuel to the filter. Any other ideas? I let it cool and she started up again after about 15 minutes. Then repeated stall. Help!!

stalling out--help needed
Guys, I am facing a mystery. My 62 m37 will start cold and run for 10-15 minutes just fine. Then it stalls out, acting like it is starving for fuel. But when I try to restart it, it won't go. Feels like it is flooded. Even if I spray some ether, she won't catch. Everything looks fine. Fuel pump work...

Once again Charles, your advice proves invaluable. I did what you said and sure enough, the clutch started working again. Thanks.

Clutch issues, where to start?
So I drove my truck about two weeks ago and it worked fine. A week later I started it in the barn and all appeared fine, though I did not drive it on the road. This week I get in to go for a ride. It starts right up, but when I go to shift I to gear it grinds like crazy. Can't get it in to any gear ...

Thanks for the offer. I found a complete NOS kit from Midwest Military, so I am going to work with that. I hope this solves this longstanding problem.

Does anyone have one of the dash primers?
Does anyone have one of the cold weather in-dash fuel primers on their truck? How do you use it and how is it plumbed into the fuel line/carb? Pics would be great.

Re: Hard starting--install a primer?
Thanks for the advice guys. Sorry I have been away from the truck for awhile and have not had a chance to check back in. Charles, I am hoping i do not have compression issues. This is a take out engine I bought from you a year or so ago that had great compression readings then, so I will check compr...
