Re: Building a retro M37
I think it will, but you have to realize that a diesel does not make much heat idling. Stop - go traffic may make the fan run more. Good to see that your set up is adequate. I have 2 more cylinders and 2.0 more liters. If it was brass i don't think it would be enough. aluminum dissapates heat much b...

looking for large tires
I am looking for either 42" 40" 38", in that priority. These are for my Custom M37 and am building now. 42's will fit but if I have to I will get smaller. tires do need to be new, 50% or better. Also do not have to be a military tire. I live in Alberta Canada so I may have to get them...

Re: Building a retro M37
so I haven't had a chance to work on the truck as much as I waned to lately but a few things have happened. I started pulling the box apart and cleaning up the box sides. https://s20.postimg.cc/ej0p150jh/box1.jpg https://s20.postimg.cc/rokskzjst/box2.jpg https://s20.postimg.cc/ngq0c8id9/box3.jpg I u...

Re: Change of plans, AGAIN!
as for the viabration, check your rear shaft u-joint angle. The front u-joint angle should be the same as the rear u-joint angle. If it is not you will get driveshaft "windup" and "unwindup" every 1/2 turn of the shaft, hence the viabration at "speed". This angle can be...

Re: Change of plans, AGAIN!
sounds like your pedal to master rod is too long and the master is not returning all the way.

Re: Building a retro M37
hey guys, Some of you thought my shifter looked odd in a m37. Look what i found in a 1969 Chrysler Military Truck-Utility-High Mobility 4x4! Cool. the shifter is exactly like mine! found this one on militarytrucks.ca under "for sale". https://s20.postimg.cc/74v4dun0d/myshifter.jpg https://...

Re: Building a retro M37
my next challenge was the remote transfer case shifter. Got a company by the name of Drive Products in Edmonton to build me a cable. It is 100 inches long and has a rating of 250 lbs push and 400 lbs pull. I know "over kill". I always like to over build. anyways here is how it turned out. ...

Re: Building a retro M37
well. I've been slackin' it on the updates. Been busy doing yard work etc. Anyway heater is in. the bracket that hurricane supplied to mount the heater is pretty flimsy so I had to make my own. ayway it fit good and when I tedted the defroster air flow I was very happy. Lots of air! here are some pi...

Re: 318 with problems....
my 2 cents on carbs is different. I run a "B" engine (400 cu in) in my 71 dart. I found in the past that if you runa stock..ish engine a carter avs or afb is fine. They work good and give resonable fuel mileage. IN my case tuough with the heavy cam and the high stall converter the 750 cart...
