Clutch Replacement
Hey guys I am thinking I am going to have to replace the clutch in my M37. New pressure plate, clutch plate and throw out bering. How big of a job is that going to be? I have a friend that is a mechanic. If I was younger I would attempt it but not anymore but I can still help. Is it an all day job? ...

Wheel Cylinders for M37
I remember doing my brakes many years back but do not write down part numbers for the brake wheel cylinders. I do remember there was a right side one and a left side one, but can't remember if there was a front and back. Does anyone know what parts or part numbers I need ? Not sure if NAPA has them ...

Leaking antifreeze
Hey guys I have a leak somewhere on the top of the engine. I am assuming it is form the gasket on the top side of the water inlet. I am also assuming that there is a thermostat in that housing as well. When I look up parts all I see is a gasket with 3 holes. This one only has 2. I have included a pi...

Re: M37 battery cables
If your batteries are wired as two 12V in series, there is no way that both of them are grounded. If both negatives were grounded, the connection from battery 1 positive to battery 2 negative would also be grounding battery 1’s positive post. Now that is a thought. That would act as a direct short....

Re: M37 battery cables
I honestly do not see anything extra on this truck that would make me think there was anything needing 12 volts. It is still all 24 volt.... I did post something a long time ago about a small push button on the dash. When pushed it kind of makes a buzzing sound. Have never figured that out yet, but ...

Re: M37 battery cables
That is exactly what I was thinking, but I do not see any other wires to the positive side. I was thinking I could just leave that cable off. I see no reason why it would hinder anything. This truck was part of the fire dept at one time so no telling if a siren could have been added at one time, or ...

M37 battery cables
I have noticed that I seam to have an extra ground cable on my batterys. The first battery closest to the front side of the seat has the normal original red cable going to the + side. Also on that battery on the negative side is a ground cable going somewhere. ( Way to cold right now to get under th...

Re: M37 Battery's
So do they bolt in or just sit in? Are they made to take in and out with the batterys in them. Will have to see if I can find one.

Re: M37 Battery's
Here is how mine was/is setup. Someone put in a disconnect which is a cool idea. It would stop someone from just jumping in the truck and taking off with it....I do not seam to have that battery box set-up in mine.. Probably long gone... https://i.imgur.com/z07InZ2.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fOXGKvF.jp...

M37 Battery's
Does anyone here have a pic of an original battery configuration should look like in them? I was just informed that the correct battery is a 2HN or 51R which are 500 cold cranking amps. I have been using a 2-31P's which are much larger and twice the cold cranking amps @950 cold cranking amps. I mean...

Fuel in the M37
Ok guys I have been using non oxy gas in my M37 primarily because is sits most of the winter months up here in MN. I was just wondering if anyone here puts a lead additive in their gas also for protection against friction??

Re: M37 Starting
Just charged the battery's. It started like this when I got the truck and it still started like this after I bought 2 new battery's. I can do a short video of it starting with sound if that helps.
Thanks

M37 Starting
Hey guys just a quick question. My M37 has always started like an old 6 volt system. What I mean by that is the starter seams to turn slower than any of my vehicles that has 12 volts. I would have thought with it having 2 huge 12 volt batteries in series (24 volts) it would spin pretty fast. It star...
