Re: Cold Weather Starting
Mine will start at 35 with no problem at all if you don't flood it. If you flood it, you are done for that day. My procedure. Switch on No choke Crank it Hit the skinny pedal once or twice if it doesn't fire. It will fire and stall. Now I crank again and pull the choke out slowly until it fires. Im...

Cold Weather Starting
Ok guys my M37 is very hard to start in the winter here in MN. Any suggestions? When it is around 50* it will start, but not much below that. I can't believe that the government would accept a vehicle in its motor pool that would not start in cold weather. I have been asking around to see if one of ...

Re: Painting a M37
I called Army Jeep Parts. They are the other distributer of the Gillespie paint in PA. They claim it would take 4 gallons to paint an M37. I find that hard to beleive unless the paint does not cover well. I am in MN. Can't seam to find a supplier here that has heard of that paint. It looks like I ma...

Re: Painting a M37
Yes that is a problem that i could see happening. I have painted tractors with Vansickle paint. It is pretty good but fades as well. It is real good paint and holds up great but fades. I just hate to spend a lot on paint for something that is not going to be a show truck. I wish there was something ...

Painting a M37
Now before I ask this question don't jump on me too bad. I was just wondering if anyone has painted their M37 with Rustoleum Olive drab paint. I was looking at a paint chart the other day and they do make an Olive paint that matches the original pretty good. Wonder if I added hardner to the paint wo...

Re: Front Windshield hold open
I was able to find some on ebay as well and they arrived today. I have one small problem on 1 side. The part that you bolt the hinge to. The threaded piece is missing on one bracket. Can you buy these. I can probably fabricate one to work, but thought it might be easier just to buy one if they are a...

Re: Wheel cylinders
Thanks......... I have replaced the front 2. The right front was frozen up and not working at all. I now have pretty good brakes. I think I will replace the rears just for good measure.

Front Windshield hold open
I am missing the 2 front center hold open locking devices on my windshield. The 2 outside ones are there and I can lock the front window open but I need the 2 center ones. I wonder if someone took them off because of a sight interference problem. It looks as if you should be able to just replace tha...

Wheel cylinders
Are the wheel cylinders for the brakes the same front and back on the M37. I do know there is a right and left for the front but is the back the same part numbers?
Thanks

Re: M37 Brakes
Charles has gone the extra mile to help me out on this continueing problem. He has literaly taken time away from his business day to talk me through things. I don't know about anyone else but I really appreciate someone who takes time to help out a total stranger. This is a business for him. For mos...

Rear axel berrings
Does anyone have a good diagram they can post of the rear axel berrings? I have to take mine apart tomorrow and want to be sure I get everything back in order. I have the manual but it does not show the breakdown of the rears.
If you know where on the internet I could look you can post that

Re: M37 Brakes
Ok thanks to mseriesrebuild I have been working on adjusting my brakes the right way which I was not doing. I was doing the Minor way and not giving consideration to the lower adjustments as described in the Major way. I have the front 2 wheels done and will do the rears tomorrow and report what pro...
