For sale 1953 M37WW & 101A2 trailer

The time has come to thin the herd somewhat . I have decided to sell my 1953 M37 WW and 101A2 trailer . I am located in WNY ( Lockport) . Both M37 and trailer have had extensive rebuilds , too much to list , I.e. , rebuilt engine , trans , NOS TC , brakes , tires wheel bearings , Pertronix ignition ...

Re: Lower Radiator Tube Port?

It is used for the fender mounted heater /defroster . Most of the original tubes have the plug , a lot of the replacement tubes sold by the various vendors do not .

Re: road gearing

Bob Stahl is very knowledgeable person for your M37 . He helped me out with a Radiator recore a few years back . That being said , why not just ship him the "PUMPKINS" for the 4:89 gear upgrade ? BTW , there are a FEW tricks to installing new gears in your M37 , not a secret but somewhat d...

Re: winch parts

The bumperett's in GOOD CONDITION will be hard to find . VPW had knock off Braden winch assembly's a while ago for a decent price . I would also suggest you make a plan to go to one of the many spring MV swap meets , you may be able to pick up bits and pieces or the whole deal . I got my winch from ...

Re: Type of winch??

It calls for Mobil 600 in 460 weight . It sounds heavy , but it really isn't , really nice lube for the winch , BTW, only fill to the plug level on both sides , takes about a QUART a side . bob k :D

Re: Type of winch??

IT takes Mobil 600 Winch oil , very high Viscosity , NOT GREASE , and you are missing the spacer bar and top plate , BTW , they have to be one of the easiest units to rebuild . VERY GOOD UNITS , IMHO , way better that any ELECTRIC winch , the only thing that stops that winch is a broken shear pin or...

Re: ELECTRONIC IGNITION

I used the same system on my M about 2 years ago , has been working great , just had the cap off for a check and to lube the distributor wick and everything was good to go . I agree it was a easy install , pulled the distributor , cleaned and lubed the weights and did the install . bob k

Re: Aberdeen

Just got back from Aberdeen . Got there Wednesday left Friday before noon . Picked up a nice medium tow bar , tires for the Mule . I found the show kinda short on M37 parts this year . I think some vendors probably stayed away because of the weather reports . Still was a good show , 15 acres of fun ...

Re: always learning

That is exactly right , that 'Hole" in the dash is for the High Beam indicator light , which should be red in color . You should get yourself a set of TM's for your ride . They will help explain just about everything you need to know on your M37 . bob k

LU-4 winch seals numbers

I am in the procress of checking and resealing my winch , does anyone off hand have the seal numbers for the seals on the worm gear shaft ? On the upside other than seals & gaskets , everything looks good inside , hardly looks used much . The seals on the worm gear shaft and PTO shaft look the s...
