One question

How many Jeep fans actually had maintenance responsibilities for any M715's? As was pointed out above, there were differences between military and civilian engines. I never had anything to do with the civilian ones. I do know that there was an AMC V8 that was practically a bolt in replacement and I ...

TM 9-2320-244-10 / TM 9-2320-212-10

I'm not clear who assigned me the rank for this forum. I held significantly higher ranks when I was a unit motor sergeant and a unit maintenance officer. I hope this rank is not a measure of my credibility. I am satisfied that my memories of the M37 and the M715 are reasonably accurate since I am ch...

Comparing Armored and Non-armored?

M-Thrax, are you comparing the longevity of armored versus non-armored brake lines? You say, "...whats funny is both 5/16" unarmored lines were rotted like this and the six 1/4" armored lines look good to go". Do you have information to indicate that each of those brake lines wer...

The Kempner Power Wagon Museum is in a small city with about 1200 residents located 15 miles west of Fort Hood. M37 Safety Recall discovered at Pat and Wanda's Tailgate Par

Okay, I know that Chrysler/Dodge will not be sending out a Safety Recall, so I will do it for a problem I have never heard of before.

It has to do with the balls on the steering idler arm. It's discussed in the report of the Tailgate Party.

In October 1963 I was assigned to the 7th Military Intelligence Detachment, Camp Casey, Korea. I was a Counterintelligence Special Agent. The TRUTH - as told by Hollywood

The other day I watched the movie, "Strategic Air Command" with General Jimmie Stewart and June Allison. The movie was made in 1955, the year I graduated from High School. Although I have seen it many times, I decided to watch it again to see how accurately Hollywood got the details. I gre...

Old MOPARS Rock

A while back I took two old MOPARS to a local car and motorcycle show. One was a nicely restored 1942 WC52 - not a M37, but certainly a M37's daddy. First place truck. I also brought a 1954 Power Wagon - not a M37, but certainly a family member. On the way to the show, a guy stopped me and asked me ...
