Re: Display board
http://www.texaspowerwagon.com/OG2001-10A.jpg My display board generally replicates the dash data plate. It was done by a professional sign shop and is a metal sign fastened to a plywood board that has a hinged support for standing it up. Because it is for identifying the truck at displays and show...

Re: Will This Engine Work in an M37?
Frank, do you count the camshaft among the "accessories" that might need changing?
BTW: The "It's a HEMI" Power Wagon has been replaced and is now part of the Museum's collection. It's been six years.

M151 Question is M37 related
There is a lot of discussion on this Forum - and others - about having people refer to the M37 as a "nice jeep". There are others who refer to the M151 as a "jeep". This includes John Wayne in the movie "In Harms Way". Now the “jeep” - M151 topic is M37 related. The M15...

Re: M151 Question
Yes. First one I drove was a Ford in October 1963. I also drove the A1 over the following years up to January 1982 when I retired. There may have been some A2's in there as well. The M151 was a lot of fun to drive. I was able to apply my experience racing dirt bikes and doing "power on" to...

Parts Room Engineering
In discussions about product development on the Kempner Power Wagon Web Site http://www.texaspowerwagon.com I refer to the great extent of parts and component interchangeability as " Parts Room Engineering ". Before the time of Computer Assisted Design, it seems that a design engineer just...

Stop by. I'll show you what you need.
No need to comment on 9.00 x 16 tires on 5.5" rims with the narrow beads/narrow locking rings.
All the parts you need to run 9.00 x 16 tires on the correct 6.5" dual rims are here for you to look at.

I tend to disagree...
" It would be nice if all states offered a plate like that. " I don't think I would like it. Texas gives me the option of registering all my former military vehicles using the military registration number (hood number) in lieu of a license plate which would detract from the vehicle's authe...

Re: pioneer tools correct colors of tools
This thread has been very interesting, particularly some of the supplemental G503 links. First of all, as Tim knows, I am a bit older than many of the rest of you. I was 73 last Monday. In the Kempner Power Wagon Museum I have many tools displayed that are older than any military or civilian truck i...

M37's in Korea
The Korean "Police Action" lasted from June 1950 to July 1953. Major US Army units were sent to Korea to augment US and UN troops already there. Most US Army units were still equipped with WWII weapons and equipment and many Korean veterans would have seen WC51's and not M37's. http://www....
