Re: Slave Cables and Battery Charging

The slave receptacle on your M is just like the ones in your house(more or less) it is hot all the time. The power can't get to the points until you flip the ignition switch on. Those naked little electrons are waiting for the order to go somewhere, either to a vehicle that you're jump starting or t...

Re: Slave Cables and Battery Charging

Yes you could jump start or charge using the slave receptacle. There is no need for a cut out switch, other than for your peace of mind. Keep in mind while charging you will build up some unwanted gases in the battery box .

Re: Anybody Out There Making Their Own Wiring Harnesses ??

Yes I'll be there. The way the tape holds together, Is you pull it tight while wrapping. The tape is overlapped with each overlap you cover about half the previous lap of tape at the end the way I did the finish was to stretch the tape and tie it back on it self. Does this make any sense? Try a smal...

Re: Anybody Out There Making Their Own Wiring Harnesses ??

Hello Bob. I installed a NOS harness when I did my M. It came with all the tags looked good and so on. When I came to wire in the headlights, taillights, blackout lights and anything else that goes from the harness to what ever device, I looked at the purchase of pig tails . They were way too much $$....

Re: Rear wiring harness clips

Gerry I hope we're talking about the same item. If you're looking for a strap type clamp like M37 Bruce shows, I made all the ones I needed from sheet metal cut to size, I used a socket from a socket set that matched the diameter needed then coated with plastic dip. I have some extra of theses. If y...

Re: Front Harness

Gerry I can't find the answer you're looking for. Try this, lay out your harness, look at where the terminal ends are. Like headlight ends blackout, oil pressure etc. Does it match your truck layout. Check the wire for the distributor, horn , horn button. look for what connects the front to the rear...
