Re: Intermediate Shaft U Joints

UJ304 seems to be the same for SKF an NAPA, from what I'm finding in the cross references available online.

Re: Introduction

Welcome to the site Jim, This is the best site for information about your M37. Many of us have started out just like you with boxes full of parts. This can be a bit over-whelming at times but, I found that it makes you truly understand all of the minor and major components of the truck. Please don't...

Re: GLAD TO SEE SOME PROJECTS PROGRESSING!

Hi Gary,

With the mild winter so far I have found little time to work on the M. I've been watching others make progress but not making any headway on mine.

Re: Canvas Top Parts

There should be a channel on the top of the windshield frame, the leading edge of the canvas top slides into.

Give John Bizal a call @ https://midwestmilitary.com/ for the parts that you are looking for. Great guy to work with.

Shelter, Electrical Equipment S-89B/G

I happened to find a Communication Shelter that fits into the back of the M37 with the troop seats still installed but folded upright. The plan is to restore this to an operational mobile radio shelter but not necessarily with the old teletype equipment. Its OK to hate me for not restoring it to ori...

Re: Rope tie down on canvas top

Great post, I've seen many different attempts to tie them off correctly with a multitude of knots involved, the diagram above is the way that I learned and still use to this day.

Re: Replacement Fuel Tank

I would run a ground strap just to make sure the gauge continues to work properly farther down the road when the inevitable corrosion creeps in, between the straps and tank. I've seen holes worn into fuel tanks on trucks rather quickly just from vibration.
