Re: Broke my M's rear pinion shaft..
Is it true that it is commonly the drivers side shaft rather than the passenger that's broken? Also, someone in an earlier post noted that removing the innermost part of the shaft is possible using a magnet of some sort. Is that the best way, and if so, can you elaborate on how you think it might be...

Re: Broke my M's rear pinion shaft..
I haven't gotten into the rear yet but I suspect I have the same problem. Just today, I was starting off in 2nd, as you were, and heard a sound come from the rear. Tried other gears and didn't move an inch. Left it in a drive gear, went under the truck and found the rear drive shaft spinning with no...

Re: Fuel Pump R&R'd
The pumps are very serviceable, I had mine rebuilt by Then & Now Automotive in Weymouth, MA; all new valves and diaphragms, works great! Hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did that cost? I'll prob do the same, or order a kit and do it myself. I imagine then & now has a kit for the ...

It once happened when i was in tow, vehicle off, under no engine power or load. It's an akward vibration I've never heard before on anything else. If you figure it out, lemme...

Alright, guess I'm gonna have to stop putting it off. My next day off I'll disassemble, check, clean and re-assemble the cooling lines. I've got a new coil and new plugs ordered (figured it's prob. time anyhow), so I'll install those and post, in about a week, any progress made. I’ll check my compre...

- Coil separation has happened a total of 3 times - once when I left the switches on, then twice while driving. The last two coils failed in the way I described in the post. On both occasions it happened the same way!? - Cooling lines intact and appear to have stock fittings - Sparks? - dunno, it st...
