Re: gaskets on rear axle importance?

I agree with Charles on the use of anaerobic sealer, I use it alot on on the big trucks and the heavy equipment that I maintain here at my shop. The nice things about stuff is that you don't have to be in a rush to assemble, it will sit there just fine for a while ( just keep dirt off it ) , it work...

Re: SCREW EXTRACTION HELP!

Tim, when you use Kroil remember to lightly tap on the screw and the housing in the affected area even just with a small hammer and punch. this will allow some vibration to take place and that's what Kroil likes to help it creep into the threads.

Re: Jeep Wheel Question!

Tim , If memory serves me right , I think they will physically go on but something with the way they locate on the hub is screwy. I know Jeep wheels locate off of they the lug nut tapers but I am not sure about mutt wheels, didn't the lug nuts have a washer attached to them kind of like the hub pilo...

Re: Iola, Wisconsin military show August 9th 2014

Bert, Somethin' on a shingle ( G -rated language) is good for one breakfast. We usually go into town to a small restaurant and eat pancakes as big as your plate and huge French toast, MMMM . I don't go with an empty trailer that's too dangerous - might find something that I cant live without and it ...

Re: Iola, Wisconsin military show August 9th 2014

I'll be there on Thursday through Sunday morning , camping in the same spot with the blue Dodge. Have not yet figured what we are bringing up. Maybe the bobbed deuce with the mighty mite in the back, and the weasel on the trailer ( Bert, it is fun to run around with and transporting parts is a breez...

Re: Rust in tool storage box

Jerry , here's what I did. After blasting my storage box I coated it with POR 15 and while it was still tacky I did a dust coating of primer to give the paint something to stick to. I know some people don't like POR 15 but I figure that with the rough surface from blasting it should stick pretty goo...

Re: Best Way to Remove Old Paint To Find Registration Number

Like Bert said, block sanding works for me. On my t-24 weasel I actually had to wet sand the areas just because the numbers and letters were so faint and hard to read.

Re: Pictures, A Letter, and a Question!

Bad condenser? I just replaced one in my Studebaker weasel because the new one went bad while I was running it. The first one was a Standard Ignition (brand name) part it was only in about a month. The way that I check them is with the points closed, ignition on, open points with a small screwdriver...

Re: Death wobble

I just changed the front tires on my deuce and a half and now I have the dang wobble in these ones every so once and a while. It really ticks people off when I have to pull off to the side of the road and slow way down so I can hold onto the steering wheel, then its good for another 5-10 miles then ...
