Re: MVPA 2012 Alaska Higway Convoy

This would be a great incentive for me to get my rear in gear and finish my m37b1. But its still a heck of a drive out to the starting point from Wisconsin

Re: M37 parts list

Mitch , I'm looking for a decent passenger side running board or a running board that has about 12" of good outside vertical edge that I could graft onto mine
Thanks,

Iola Wis MV show and swap

I'm wondering if anyone here is planning on going to the Iola, Wis MV show and swap this weekend? They are going to be auctioning off some of Chet Krause's vehicles on Friday the 13th. The show and parts swap meet is on Saturday and Sunday the 14 - 15 of August .

Re: Topeka next month-who is going?

Looks like I won't be going to Topeka , I made it to Evansville, Ind. and Iola, Wis. (they were on the same weekend) last year but I am planning on Dayton next year.

I have finally had the time to look through some of the TM's and I see from the pictures that the tie down mount area on the bumper brace appears to be flat. Now to flatten it out and proceed to priming and painting 8)
Thanks for the help,
Paul

The three sets that I have all have a slight bend in them but they are not the same . When I was at the equipment park at Fort McCoy, Wis. they have a m37 and that one has straight mounting areas and the VPW catalog shows them to be straight too . :?
Thanks for the info.

front tie down mounts

I'm getting ready to prime a whole bunch of parts after sandblasting, just wondering if the lower front bumper braces right where the tie down loops mount , are they supposed to be straight or have a slight bend downward. Looks like someone might have had a couple of tie downs too tight, at one time...

Whats that gray surface under your truck? Is it a floor , holy cow I have not seen mine in so long . Nice organization with lots of elbow room , just a little chilly in the winter time. I worked out of my old garage for almost 18 years without insulation with just a salamander heater running it did ...

Last year when I needed to blast my frame, rims and a bunch of other stuff I came out to my big truck shop and used our Ingersol Rand 185 compressor. That thing puts out 185 cfm and I use a 100 lb pressurized sand pot. I went through 2000 lbs of sand pretty fast, and I did it down in our sand pit so...

At least now our mv's will be better defined with the WiDot so they can get some statistical information on them. :D It is a good start in the right direction. I was at most of the public hearings with the dot and senate commitees (missed the last one) and it was interesting to say the least. The MV...
