Re: Wisconsin won't register my truck!!!
Frank, The Dells ducks, mainly the ones that operate on public roads to pick up people in town (the ones that operate in the water and less than 1 mile on public roads are governed by the DNR I believe and are exempt from needing license plates ) are covered in the law that allows much more general ...

Re: Wisconsin won't register my truck!!!
Last year I went up to Madison quite a few times to voice my opinion to the Dot. First they had a public meeting right in the Dot's building in a small conference room, we filled it to standing room only. It included collector car owners, MV owners and Dan from original Dells ducks. After that meeti...

Re: Wisconsin won't register my truck!!!
Josh , I'm not familiar with all of the different XM variations of the m37, but were there any that had anything like a 4 cylinder diesel in them? If there were then you could possibly register your truck as a XM____ you would have to find a data plate for it that would describe it as a XM____ . Jus...

Re: C54 Skymaster
I was able to tour the C-54E "Spirit Of Freedom" last year up in Oshkosh, Wis. during the EAA Airventure. Very cool aircraft, Yes the interior was set up as a museum with pictures and artifacts from the Berlin airlift. I talked with Kevin Kearney, the Vice President of the Berlin Airlift H...

Re: Getting Dual wheels apart $@(!*
Carl, Knocking the wheel studs out probably won't help if the rims are hub pilot (meaning the hub centers the rim instead of the lugnuts centering the rim with the tapered nut fitting into the taper surface on the rim) Chevy has used a tapered nut going into a plate separate from the rim with tapere...

Re: Sun engine analyzer
I still use my Sun model TUT-1015 engine analyzer on my older vehicles . I learned how to use it back in the '80s. I still have all of the manuals plus tune-up charts for it. The oscilloscope is really handy for checking your primary and secondary ignition. At times I wish it had the exhaust analyze...

Re: Engine Stand
Right now my T245 engine is on one of the 4 wheel stands from Harbor Freight rated at 1250 lbs. Its the one with the "H" pattern where the wheels are mounted. I have not had any problems yet and its been on there about a month and a half waiting for me to finish up the chassis.
