I think I might have something somewhere.
I'll have a look if I get some time this weekend.

Re: Locking hubs on M37?
I got mine from John at Midwest Military.
Don't remember the model #, but they are Superwinch.
I don't think that they are as good as the Selectro's, but for my mild ap, they are fine.
Keep the fixed hubs in the toolbox if there is a problem, an easy swap.

I did it and was very satisfied. I also matched it to a Pertronics coil. Much hotter spark. I do have one little bit of advice if you are a bit OCD/ paranoid like me. My truck lives in an area subject to frequent close lightning strikes ( fire lookout) . I have lost ALL my electronics in everything ...

You are of course correct as far as rotation.
It is the normal firing order.
I used the distributor to find the cylinder and assumed the wrong direction
of rotation in my description. Sort of like reverse and backwards both at once
luckily for me rendering my job the right way round. -(-)=+
Tnx.

OK, here's how I was using it. Sorry for the crappy pics they are from my phone. I set the engine at TDC on #1 I mark the bumper and freeze the degree wheel and lock the pin into the hand crank starter nut. Turn clockwise till the 240 deg mark is on the mark on the bumper, set the next set of valves...

A new tool
I have come up with another idea that has probably been around since Ponchus was a pilot. I was visiting my sled this weekend and I am still chasing the hard starting after 6 weeks with large atomized particles coming from exhaust. I was adjusting valve lash again and came up with this. It worked gr...
