Re: Slow, Old and Green

Had to laugh at the vehicle description on the receipt. Did you bother to educate them or just save your breath , grab your money and go?

51 M37 FOR SALE & CCKW STYLE HARDTOP

I have this 51 that I'm not going to get around to restoring and could use the space it's taking up. Ran when parked :D -20 or so years ago! First the bad: no front bumper, no wiring left to speak of, hole rusted in floor under driver's seat and rust at front bottom of passenger door, missing door h...

Re: 1951 M37 4bt Modern Repower

Hi Jeff, I never found any original markings on that truck-whoever painted it did an unusually good job of prep it seems. I don't recall seeing anything but the typical green paint under the yellow, but you'll know for sure when you sand on the cab and doors. Also, it didn't have any of the usual Ma...

Re: 1951 M37 4bt Modern Repower

Jeff, it just occurred to me that I could probably edit the registry since I was the one who registered it. I did change the info when I sold it, so I guess I still could. Let me know if I can help out. Also just noticed that I should update my signature info, since your 51 is still listed there.

Re: 1951 M37 4bt Modern Repower

Hi Jeff, unfortunately that hood didn't come from your truck. It was on my 53 which was an Air Force truck. Since it was going to be gloss strata blue, I used the straightest pieces on it, but there really wasn't that much difference in the two. Yes, your M was a winch truck-I still have all of that...

Re: Gauge Fogging Question

Bob, I found this topic in a post from 2012 started by a "w30bob" :D

Re: where are the LU4 winch studs

Dorman part # 675-046. I bought these in 2011 so I don't know if they're still available but would assume so. good luck.

Mike, in response to your pm, my 53 looks just like the one in refit1701's pic-right down to the color :) . Sorry, no delivery date.

Re: Wanted LU-4 and? bumpers & frame extensions

Hi Jim, I have a complete setup-from pto to bumpers I've been thinking of selling. I'm in western OR, don't know if you're anywhere close. I'd think shipping costs would be ridiculous, and I'm not really sure what it's worth. Let me know if you have any further interest and we can see if we can make...

Re: which bolts?

Thanks guys. Bob, those are the bolts I'm talking about, but from the head stamp on yours I don't think they're original. I think I may have the correct ones but I'm just trying to confirm that. I'd like to get the right ones in there if I can since it's such a visible spot. Carter, the straps I'm t...

which bolts?

Hi guys. I'm well into re-assembly on my M (after a decade or so hiatus) and need to know which bolts attach the troop seat upper brackets to the bed side. Mine were missing so I have nothing to go on and haven't been able to find a pic anywhere. Am I correct that it should be a thin headed bolt wit...
