Hi John,
Thanks, I saw it already. Like everyone else who is interested in the STMVPA platforms and claims, I am doing my due diligence to research and come to my own conclusions. Might take me a minute or two.

Re: Save the MVPA!
John, Didn't say it was healthy but it is functioning. There needs to be changes, not hiding anything here. However, there is a system in place to make changes. In 2021, I ran for the Board. On MVPA.org, no financials had been posted since 2010 and minutes hadn't been posted since 2018. Our Board be...

Re: Save the MVPA!
Greetings all, While the Save The MVPA platforms have some interesting initiatives and ideas as well as point out discrepancies in the current MVPA administration, some of which go way back, I would like to point out that the MVPA has begun the election cycle for the 2026-2030 group of Directors. Fo...

Re: Fuel Shut Off to Pump Rubber Hose
The local Napa said he can fab one up if he has the right end fittings.
Meanwhile, this afternoon I found them on John's site. Probably order them with some other parts.
Thanks.

Fuel Shut Off to Pump Rubber Hose
Greetings all, I need to replace the rubber hose between the shut off and stock fuel pump. Napa says they can't get the WH11089 hose anymore and none of the distributors listed on the Weatherhead by Danfloss are anywhere near me. Anyone know of a cross-reference/alternate hose or source that'll work...

Re: Oil filter cover gasket
Sal, Thanks. I'm pretty sure that is the one. So, here's what happened....back when I got my truck, it had a non-drain filter housing. Some years later, I found a Purolator filter body that had the drain. I swapped the lids rather than the entire assemblies because the non-drain housing had A/C deca...

Re: Oil filter cover gasket
Hal, Thanks for the info. No, this is coming from the lid gasket. I snug the lid down a bit. I've found in the past, if I don't snug the lid down, it leaks. I've never had a problem with the heavier, fiber-like gaskets but I haven't seen any of those in years, at least not with the NAPA ones I've be...

Oil filter cover gasket
Hey, anyone know if any of the brands still come with the thick fiber-like gasket instead of the flimsy rubber gasket like the NAPA filters? Each year, at least the past few years, I have to finesse the gasket/lid into position so I don't get a leak. This year, I've worked with that gasket for 3 day...

Re: Dealing with leaking windshield bottom gasket
A little late but I use some of the foam rope sealer/caulk that you find in the store for drafts. It comes in different diameters so depending on the gap, you can find something that works. I started with the smallest diameter and worked my way up until it stopped the seepage. I just put the water h...

Re: Origonal carb color
I believe the consensus is that originally they were factory colors of whatever was the industry standard at the time. Once the truck went into depo or overhaul, everything got a paint coat of OD. Fresh out of the factory, the carb would be plated per Carter specs and the engine the silver-gray that...

Hey Bruce.
Yep, we're doing well so far. How are you guys doing? How's the M37 project?
My truck is ready for the season. Just waiting for the season to start.

Re: Which Gauge Terminal to Sending Unit
On my gauge, when mounted in the dash, the outer connector (further from the speedometer) with the slots is the sender unit side. The inner connector (closer to the speedometer) is the spider connector and has the nubs/tabs inside. Or, if you have it in your hand, looking at the back, the connector ...

Re: 1952 M37 turn signals and back brake lights
This setup lets me use full brake and turn signal lights when I'm on the road. In a few minutes, I can stow them and it will look like a stock 1954 M37. A few minutes to set back up and I'm on the road again. OK, here is what the lights look like when mounted on the tailgate. There is a velcro strap...
